Happy National Corn on the Cob Day!

My kids love corn on the cob but I rarely buy it. When I do buy it it goes bad before I cook it. We also don’t have corn holders which makes it difficult to eat.

Do you prefer corn on the cob or off the cob?
How do you season your corn? Butter? Mayo? Salt? Pepper? Other? My daughter is always trying new seasonings to see what she likes best. I eat it plain.
Do you have corn holders you like and would recommend? I really need to buy some soon.

I love corn on the cob, but I hate eating it. I need to get one of those tools that scrapes the corn off the cob. I used to have a set of the Pampered Chef corn holders, but I'm not sure what happened to them. I like them with lots of butter and salt! There's a corn on the cob vendor that comes to our state fair and does all kinds of different types. They do a firecracker one that is rolled in hot cheetos.

I haven't had corn on the cob for years!! When I did eat it, I had to have lots of butter.

I had a roommate in my 20's that would fix it by grilling it in the husk. Best corn on the cob I ever had! Her boyfriend would use the husk after he peeled it back to hold one end of the cob. Only needed a holder on the other end but I don't think he even used one.

I love corn on the cob! I cook it in husk in the microwave and then the silk comes right off. Google it! I love to roll it in butter and then salt and pepper it. We also like to cut it off the cob. I got some corn holders at dollar tree several years ago and they worked great too.

we love corn on cob, and it goes 10 for $1 here, and I buy a ton for dinners with friends.
Elote is a huge hit here! Street vendors sell it for way too much! a bowl of corn, with sauce (like mayo with cilantro and garlic) with cheese, chile powder and limes. It is delicious!
I cheat! Available at Trader Joes-we buy it fromAmazon, 3 bottles at a time! so so yummy
spread thin layer of mayo, and then sprinkle liberally!

Ooh we might have to try hot cheetos! I just had a k-dog rolled in hot cheetos and it was soooooo good!

Lots of butter is always a good way to go.

I haven't bought it in the husk ever since we found a huge grub in a husk.

I'll definitely check out dollar tree; I just forget when I'm there! I'll have to try cooking it your way if I dare buy it in husk again. I was tempted to buy it in husk today at Walmart.

Thank you Anne! Elote is what my daughter has been trying to make! I'll have to grab this at Trader Joe's asap for her.

I love corn on the cob, but usually only have it is someone else has made it. I like butter, salt and pepper. My dad used to make sauteed corn with fresh off the cob corn with plenty of salt and butter...that would be easier on my very expensive veneers that I don't want to risk damaging1
