so sorry to hear Jenn, I wish we lived closer so I could lend you one of hours or you could come to ours have lunch and scrap :( Hope things get sorted soon for you to scrap!!!!! <3 Hugggzz
I may wait til I know what is happening with the job I interviewed for last week. If successful 4-6 weeks til start.
No time like the present ;-) (that said, i'm usually a last minute person so you're in good company!)
@MrsPeel Interview was 2am Thursday your time so it’s well and truly done now. Have 17.5 hours til I fly home.
Good, I’ll hear sometime next week https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/doing-the-happy-dance.55207/page-3#post-1022198
Safe travels and good luck with your interview. I also hope you enjoy your mini holiday too! Take lots of pictures so you can scrap when you get home!!
@cfile I’m not doing that much thats touristy this trip but will try and take some phone photos when I can.
Hate playing the waiting game especially if it’s going to cost me more by waiting for an hirer to decide
And now I’m sick with a cold.....had to cancel 4 things this weekend so that I wouldn’t feel any worse.
Only reason I’m a wee bit worried is I may have 2-3 days away end of the first week of June so want to be well for that.
Well, good news....been shortlisted for a pre interview writing task next week then hopefully interview week of June 4th.
Prayers.. hope it all went well Jennifer and there is a treatment plan in the works to make her feel better quickly ! :)
@cfile @londoncuppa update here https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/health-update-sort-of.54743/page-2#post-1017921
i have days like that - sometimes i leave it and save it as 'unfinished' and make another page and come back to it - or grab a template so i dont have to think design wise
Have to make a crucial decision fast. Do I apply for a perfect 6 month entry level job that’s 12-14 hrs away? job closes tomorrow
I agree with Jess... apply and then you can decide later based on salary they offer whether you can afford an apt etc for the 6 months. I bet it would be a fun experience.
I’ve applied...I’m at the point of thinking way outside the square in my sector. Bonus of this job, I’d be able to meet @LynnG!
Feeling a bit down at the moment.....didn’t get the job I interviewed for earlier in the week. Back to the drawing board for a new plan.
@cfile - there was an extensive process for this one - resume, cover letter, 5 page self assessment form, interview and 3 reference checks. This was more than usual because it’s a govt job
oops, attended an NSD chat though can’t remember which 1, have coupon code but didn’t write down the finer details of designer or amount
Thanks everyone, all sorted and used. @cfile, I did think it was the one you hosted as the other chats weren’t good timing for me.
LOL welcome to my world, only for me is all week, I m not complaining though...without you guys, I think they would have sectioned me and I would be living i n a nut house by now LOL
Just keep positive thoughts Jennifer. I know it can be very scary. I am keeping you and your Mom in my thoughts and prayers. Not knowing and wondering is sometimes worse than knowing what the issue is and finding out what the next steps are. Hugs for your Mom and you Jennifer.
think NSD weekend will be a bit of a bust for me, killer headache today for 8 hours, need to do errands tomorrow and interview day after.
