All 40 wagons were through the narrow passage, but the leader could not find his. Went back and there it sat, only him and his wife to bring it through. The other wagons had many men to bring them through...Babies placed on a flat rock, they persevered until they made it. She fell and badly gashed her leg. They went back and collected the children still sitting where they had been left!!!!! Part of the history of the immigrants coming to Escalante in S. Utah.
