You're right: for free, I can't really be upset. I'm just so darn detail-oriented that it drives me a little nuts. On the plus side, my kids are so gosh darn CUTE that I'm much more focused on them than on the photo trimming lol! The family photo is one of my all-time faves. We were outside playing and the kids plopped down in the grass so DH and I did, too. I had my phone so I took a quick pic. Thank goodness for cameras in our phones, amiright?
At home, I don't have one. At work, I have one I made on Shutterfly. It has pictures of all of us at a farm. It makes me happy. I really like farms & barns (Barnes is my maiden name & my husband's name is Barney). It's getting shabby, so I need to get another one the next time they send me a freebie.
Ya'll "free shutterfly mouse pad peeps" better link up if you see another one of those coupons/deals!
That sounds so awesome! I love the Office. This one is a custom order, obviously. I'm pretty impressed with it. My last one was like yours - only from a Hospice place that I got at the hospital open house.... Really? Do you use the trackpad? I always use an external mouse with my laptop. That is so cool!
Is your Shutterfly one thick? Mine is. Dh and my son play overwatch. They totally laughed at this. Really? There's a lot of you that use them straight on your desk. I find the optical part skips when I do that, or it doesn't always read right. I'm not afraid of crumbs since I no longer have a ball mouse. I used to have a mousepad that was a mousepad, and then at the bottom was tear off note papers. It was my favorite.
I'm on the notebook team too, but I don't know how to scrap without using a mouse...so I just use it when scrapping, on my living room table! I have a mousepad that my boyfriend gave to me, with a custom photo of myself(I know...he should have done it for him, but anyway LOL) I use it because my table is made of glass, so it's more confortable.
At work I don't use a mousepad at all. At home, I just bought a plain black one because I couldn't find a pattern I liked in the store and I really needed a new one. The one I had was a chevron pattern, but the top layer was starting to curl on the edges and it was a pain. I have no issues not having one at work, but here at home the cursor jumps around a lot without one. I guess it's the differences in the type of surface it's on. I can't use a track pad to save my life lol
I don't like track pads so I use a mouse with my laptop. I use the arm of the padded chair. If I am out and about I use the padded laptop sleeve. I did make a custom padded for my son ---pics of his much loved kitty.
At my desk, I have a boring ol' black one. Not even sure how long I've had it or where I got it. When I sit on the couch I don't use one.
Mine is a promo mouse pad which is a calendar from 2014 from a company called United Rentals. No idea who they are. Never used them or even looked them up.
I have a gel wrist rest type one that is black with a little sleeping sheep on it and my old Scrap Orchard mouse pad.
I just got a new one on Saturday for my birthday... it's boring black (Amazon Basics) but it's like 12" x 10" so it covers a much bigger space on my desk. My son got one with one of his favorite YouTuber's logo on it for Christmas that was really large and I thought that was a brilliant idea, so the mouse doesn't go off the edge ever.
No mousepad for me for about 2 decades at least! and re crumbs etc. I clean my desk (Ikea pine table) once a week wit plain alcohol. I also clean the black track lines on the back of the mouse often. Sometimes with a rag that I've used with that alcohol (a bit more sprayed on the rag) or if the mouse is sticking to the table for any reason, I just scrape those tracks with my fingernail. I'm not a germaphobe by any means. If you lived in the places I've lived, well, you no longer worry about such things. But, I am a treasurer for a group and I count the money on this table weekly. Money isn't clean, so I give myself a reason to keep the desk, keyboard and mouse clean. Clean enough.
