    What's For Dinner?

Working on my menu/list for next week and need ideas!

Tonight we are having Italian Turkey Sausage with Penne and Marinara. This weekend I'm going to make a big pot of Taco Soup. Beyond that... no idea.

I just ate a handful of sour cream and onion chips a few minutes ago, and I was considering grabbing some string cheese out of the fridge in a little bit.

So who's coming over for dinner? Anyone?

I was going to make dinner tonight...I really was. But I got busy packing and next thing we know it's 7:30 so we have Jimmy John's on the way even though we really shouldn't spend the money. Sorry not much help with your menu planning. I will be making crockpot baked beans with bacon and cornbread for tomorrow night's dinner though.

Hmm. I'm not sure. It might have been left-overs, but the hubby went into the fridge last night and demolished them.

I'm thinking tonight is going to be the buffalo chicken wraps you posted on your blog awhile ago. I made those two weeks ago and everyone ate them! The boys decided they might be too spicy for them about halfway through, but my hubby has been asking when I'm making those again for him. :)

We had homemade sloppy joes this weekend.

This week, we're having chicken salad in pitas + potato salad (new recipe from Allrecipes that doesn't have egg or mustard), spaghetti, chicken nuggets + french fries, and tacos on Saturday to celebrate Hubs' late brother's birthday.

angie i was thinking of you over the weekend actually as i worked on my menu... was wondering if you ever decided to stick with the menu thing or now. :)

for us this week, i think it will be:
    stuffed peppers
    homemade chicken fingers
    spaghetti
    pulled pork tacos
    chicken wraps

or something like that. i've gotten a little out of whack the past month or so. i have to figure out what i actually have first, and then see if the grocery might fit into the schedule somewhere so that i can make the stuff. otherwise, we may resort to grilled cheese :giggle

I only plan them 3 days a time. Otherwise it's just too much and I don't end up cooking all of it and it goes to waste. My 3 days of meals sometimes lasts the week. :giggle

We're on Spring Break and I'm in one of my favorite places in the world. I'm meeting two of my best friends, plus another good friend, for dinner tonight at the best Mexican place ever. The margaritas are oh-so-smooth and the food is just right. I'm a little excited. The rest of my family could have came with us -- they usually do -- but they wanted to let me have some time with my friends. I'm so blessed to have an amazing family that gets it, plus friends who love me.

yes, i find this to be true for us too. i do something similar. i have a list of 5 or 6 meals that i know i have everything for. i don't really commit them to any specifi day of the week, because i apparently suck at commitment :giggle those 5 meals will typically last for the week or a little longer, and then we fill in with leftovers or cereal or some other miscl randomness the other days.
