Helen, Char and kyky (gosh I can't remember your name sweetie) got me thinking! I know, I know... stop the lightbulb jokes. I always thought that my BIGGEST vocation in life was a personal shopper. Hubby hates when I am at a store and start helping complete strangers to pick something. Or stop and tell someone: "you should get that, it brings out your eyes". Like he seriously thinks I am wasting my calling by not being a personal shopper. LOL!!! So, I ask you... anything you have been looking for to scrap and haven't because you haven't found the PERFECT kit or even element? ASK AWAY... for your and MY pleasure!
Wouldn't that be awesome? LOL!!! I have to say that my sisters all call me when they need to buy something... which is kind of hard. It usually is txt message followed by picture followed by txt message! LOL!!! Char, so glad you like the tooth fairy stuff I linked you to. Let me see when you make a page, ok?
I was thinking about creating a monster-ish page for the new Henry Hugglemonster show that my kids are enjoying. It's be a non photo type layout so I'm still in the thinking process.
OMG... Bianca is in LOVE LOVE LOVE with the Henry Hugglemonster show too, but we usually miss it. (darn extra-curricular activities). I even made a page of Bianca's ROARING RACING CAR! There are some cool monster kits in the store, of course you probably know that... LOL!! but I feel that these ones are more in the style of what Henry Huggamonster looks like.
My 17 year old is leaving for Army basic training in a mere 16 days . . . I've been taking "pre-boot camp" shots of him, but need a great kit to scrap this journey. The only military kits I've really found are ALL either cute or more heirloom "my grandpa was in the war" type kits . . . I need something with an artistic flair to it, mature and varied to scrap everything from the haircut, the testing, the decision, leaving (which will include me sobbing) and then the graduation ceremony in August in SC. . . . and go . . .
LOL Love this thread and so happy to have inspired it ;P (Name is Chiara!!) OK I want to do a surprise to my sister. She's 24 years old, I want to make a page with some of her fav things. She's a book-maniac, fantasy and dr who geek. something for me???
oh goodness Lori, I got goosebumps!!!!! HUGS!!!! I cannot even imagine how hard it's been so far and how even harder it will get.... I am off to check for you!
Lori, The first thing it came to my mind was these 2 items by Michelle. Even thought the elements have bits of older times, if you look closely to it, you will see all the words of strength, not only that your son matches perfectly, but the ones you feel towards him at this time. I'll keep looking, because I am sure there is much more, these I just knew exactly where to look for them.
Lori, One more for you. These are not Army themed but more something that I would use in addition to anything else you may pick. They just seem like good finishing touch items. This alpha is an awesome to use tone-on-tone and in brown looks like dusty mud tracks. This one reminds me of the level bands they get. This one, I thought would work to put down your feelings about him and his journey.
I absolutely will! I got derailed this morning by a burst of energy for cleaning so I took advantage of it while I had it LOL....so I hope to scrap tonight!!!
Oh and I haven't forgotten the rest of you.... so if you haven't put your ISO request... please do so... I am just working on a tutorial that should be going in the blog really, really soon!
they might as well be mythical for how often they occur around here! I feel so accomplished I'll post pics in a minute of what I finally got done today, after the stuff sitting in my bedroom for eons!
Ok, Laura, you have to be open minded for this one, ok? Ready? (btw. those pictures are amazing... how on earth you "stumble across" the weiner mobile... that is AWESOME!!!! This is what I would do with those pictures.... (btw. it's the same idea but two different looks. I was not sure if you prefer felt to hand drawing). FELT OPTION: I would take that tire from this first kit and put it into... of course the hot dog on the second kit. Also with that tire, you could use this hot dog and I think it would look perfect! (I particularly like this one a lot, because it's very summery! You probably could use it with a few of the next pages). HAND DRAWN OPTION: Same idea, plug some tires into a hot dog. LOL!!! Now if you go with this hotdog instead then you could make it into an american tradition kind of page. Talk about how you sang the Oscar Mayer song (you sang it, right? I think all american kid did, even I did... loved to see the car on the tv too!) and how it brought back memories and how awesome it was to share those memories with your adorable girl.
ha, I had that Oscar Meyer song stuck in my head ALLLLL day after we left! And weirdly, it was just hanging out in front of my grocery store! These kits are perfect!! Now to decide which one, lol!
I have been looking for some mason jars so I can make salad like Peppermint. There don't seem to be any to be found here in Manila... I'm also looking for the perfect kit for this photo: But it has to be perfect, just as my photo is perfect. And it has to capture the happy memories of the beach with my parents. Any suggestions?
