We have our 10 book suggestions and now we are ready for the fun voting! You can vote on your top four choices and the four books with the most votes will be our next book club selections. Happy voting! 1. Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver 2. The Measure by Nikki Erlick 3. The Anniversary by Stephanie Bishop (releases July 18, 2023) 4. The Celebrants by Steven Rowley 5. It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover 6. Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin 7. When We Meet Again by Kristin Harmel 8. Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand 9. The Girl Who Survived by Lisa Jackson 10. The Only One Left by Riley Sager I'll leave the voting open until July 22nd. (sorry it'll be right up close to August before we have our picks! I was slacking on getting a jump start this time around!)
I changed my vote like five times. Lol. I'm totally good with any of these being our next picks! Such a great list of books!
I voted! I haven't been around much lately, but I'm still reading. I'm surprised that I have already read half of the books listed above. They are all so good!
Just an FYI, The Measure (on the list above) is for sale for $2.99 right now on Kindle... It's currently a front-runner to be one of our picks, so it might be worth picking it up while it's on sale. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DGFDD3T?_bbid=148832498&tag=bookbubemail1-20
Voting is closed and we have our next four books to read together! Yay! August: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin September: The Only One Left by Riley Sager October: Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver November: The Measure by Nikki Erlick I will get the new posts for each book up in just a few minutes!
Now to see which ones I still need to look for and what the library has and what those wait times are.
Yep! I kind of started putting some of these on hold as the voting started to show front-runners. But I have 15 weeks for the November book and 7 weeks to wait for the September one. I already read one of these and the other one I already have on my Kindle. Hope your waits aren't too long!
kingsolver was interviewed about Demon Copperhead on Sky Arts recently. The program was Hay I think. It sounds really interesting
