I'm not usually a non-fiction reader (unless I'm researching something), but I felt compelled to read this, & I have to say I'm really loving it. I'm only about 120 pages in, but already it's helped me to learn a TON about the Middle East that I didn't know (though I admit that the book usually prompts me to ask a question and then seek an outside source for the answer when it comes to details about countries and cultures; the subject matter is immense, so that's not a criticism for me), & it really puts the role of America on the World stage in perspective. It's enlightening to say the least, & enjoyable as well. I'd love to know if anyone else is reading/has read it!
