We were slipper hunting this week. Tough find after Christmas, but we got some for the boys. My one son wants backs to his, and them to fit around his whole foot (with a heavy sole). Like a loafer. My other son, wants slip ons, a scuff? but all wanted toes to be covered. NO one liked these: What kind do you wear? I am a scuff, prefer dearfoams because they are cushy longest! these are just like the ones I have on right (same pretty color and all)this very minute:
I was my whole foot AND ankle covered! These are the ones my hubby bought me for Christmas this year:
Summer means barefeet for me, winter is a sheepskin, everything covered - even the ankles. I do have some slipper socks as well, but they don't really mean comfort to me.
I don't know. I like the idea of slippers, but I can't find any I like. I must not wear them correctly, because the cushy ones with memory foam become uncomfortable pretty quickly, and I don't like the ones with the stiff foam soles. I don't leave them on when I'm sitting, so the ones with backs end up getting squished from the number of times I put them on when I stand up. I think I prefer closed toe slip ons, but I can't find any with comfortable bottoms. I had a pair of Dearfoams once -- a couple of times -- that were wonderful, but then the bottoms got super cushy and now my feet slide off to the side when I'm standing (I don't know how else to describe it. I just can't keep my feet on top of them!) and I haven't been able to find a decent pair -- subjectively decent -- in *years*. I usually just go barefoot, although I've been wearing fluffy socks this week.
full boot slippers.. I like flip flops but my feet get cold especially this year so i have been wearing slipper socks too. I hte going barefoot even in the house.. slippers or flip flops at least for me..
I like slip-ons too. I want to slide my feet into them and go. I currently don't have any that I love. I used to buy only Dearfoam slip ons, but it seems like every pair of slippers on earth has that little "lip" in the heel now. I can't stand that. The last pair I bought had that and I'm forever stepping on it with my heels.
I have a pair of moccasin slippers from LL Bean that I'm currently wearing, but I also have slip-ons in my stash. So apparently I'm not fussy.
Scuffs - my toes must be warm, but who wants to bend over and put slippers on? That's just too much work!
My usual answer would be none 'cos I'm a barefoot baby - but ever since I tried compression socks I've been living in those. And why, oh why, does admitting that rank right up there with hag whiskers for making me feel older than I should?
I've had white hair since then (22, actually, found my first one right after I had my first baby, ain't that some timing?) - but the chin whiskers didn't crop up until late thirties. Now it's a matching mustache and stg, some days I feel like just letting it grow into the Pancho Villa mess it wants to become :-D
I have scuffs right now, but I don't prefer them. I like taller boot style slippers. They are so warm and cozy!
I wear slipper socks, at home I have to be able to flex my foot. I hate my feet being in solid shoes all day.
