I use PSE Organizer for all my digi files. So far it's worked great for me. I'm considering upgrading to Elements 2025 and concerned about how it might impact my tags. I have spent many, many hours sorting and tagging more than 90,000 files (don't judge, it used to be a lot more!). I really don't want to do that again.

Anyone out there who has upgraded to 2024 or 2025? If you use the organizer, how did it take the changes?

Hi, I've not used the organizer often, but I was going to upgrade from PSE 2021 to 2025 and found out that PSE 2025 and forward will be "sold" with a 3 year license. (kind of like a subscription) After that time, I don't know if you will pay for a new license to continue with PSE 2025 or if you will be forced to upgrade to the newest edition of PSE.
So it's that much more important to keep a back-up of your organizer. As far as transfer from one edition to the next, you'll probably have to inquire at Adobe.

Thanks for your response, Sue @Smwhite I did not know about the 3-year license, but it seems like most of the big software companies are going this route so we just have to live with it. Adobe's info makes it sound like they expect you to upgrade. A lot can happen in 3 years, tho. After browsing the Adobe user forums, I don't think there have been a lot of Organizer issues. I'll have to cross my fingers - and backup, backup, backup!

I don't know if either of you have heard of Photopea but I'm exploring it as an option - so far it is playing nice with photoshop files but i don't have experience with PSE or tags so can't offer any advice there -i'll post my experience with photopea so far on the blog in the next week or so
