thinking of you all ... my grandmom is in a nursing home, and she scares the heck out of me when she gets up and moves around (has had a few small strokes) sometimes she forgets her walker. i feel for you! hoping all goes well w/surgery for your mom. hugs.

Linda, I am sorry to hear of your troubles, If it is any consolation ,Tony's dad ( he is 85) broke his hip and had an operation ,putting bolt and a plate in,6 weeks ago. Now I am happy to say, that with his brand new walker, he is back on his feet.
I pray the same will be said for your mum. Also since people will now be "keeping an eye" on her for a bit , chances are her weight will improve too. In my thoughts , vivi
