Yaay, it's time for another challenge! For the last challenge I had you use just journaling cards, for this challenge I want you to use a kit to create at least one of your pockets. Grab your favorite kit from The Lilypad store, crop your paper to card size and add your embellishments and journaling. Post it in the gallery (following gallery rules of course). Make sure to link it up here and all participants who do so by 11:59 EDT on August 2nd will receive a $2 coupon for Amy Wolff's store. Pages can be created either digitally or hybrid. I recently found out we have to move so I took the opportunity to document it with the Home Collab by Kaye Winiecki and Studio Basic. I also created this page using Seize by Allison Pennington. Li Li created this page using Go 4 It by Lynne-Marie (she also used The Skinniness Font by Heather Joyce and Little Pocket no:6 by Valorie Wibbens Juliette created these pages using These Walls kit and add on by One Little Bird. And Heather has this page where she created most of the pockets with Beech Tree by Sara Gleason. Dalis created this page with I'll Love You Forever by Sahlin Studio. If you want to see more about my process creating the cards in my two pages, make sure to check out this blog post. I can't wait to see your creations!
I'm so glad you caught this. I've updated the post. The actual end date is August 2nd. I've also updated the post with our sponsor. Many thanks to Amy Wolff for sponsoring the challenge!
I've been having computer problems and are still in the process of fixing it so I am 'almost' playing by the rules of this challenge. (I didn't use any elements as such)
Sarah - this is one of my FAVORITE ways to pocket scrap. I just don't always have time to get cards (when working with paper) but I have SO MUCH left over goodies from my paper scrapping days, that I just make my own. I have found that I often do that with my digi pocket pages too, especially when I cant find what i want to finished a page using pre-made cards. This time I challenged myself to JUST use the kit, no pre-made cards, it was SO fun! Thanks so much!
This was awesome! Just the challenge I needed to enable me to buy this kit! I fell in love with this kit when I saw all the beautiful pages in the gallery. Thanks, Sarah!
So, I only had time to make one complete card. I'm using the daily Storyteller Downloads for it and it's part of my 2012 PL intro page!
Awesome job ladies! I've left a bit of love for you all in the gallery! There are still a couple more days left if anyone else wants to join in.
I made the cards and pockets and then decided to lay paper underneath it so everyone can see the pockets then it started turning into a layout so then I needed some words and then.... I stopped my self...
This challenge is now closed for the coupon, but as always I'll leave the thread open so if you are inspired by the challenge you can leave your creations here for us all to admire. Thanks for participating, everyone! Keep an eye on your inbox for the coupon code.
