Pantone Color of the Year 2015

ICK, definitely not for me. That's 90's lipstick, to me.

 

i was predicting a red but not that red! it is kind of bleh to me too. i totally agree that it is great as makeup!!! and maybe pretty as formal wear dressed up with gold, silver or black ...

 

I think having a color of the year is weird. lol

 

mauve came to my mind too. having bad flashbacks of our 80's formal living room ... there may have been some seafoam green in that room too.

 

I, too, cringe at the idea of that mauve and green paisley.. but I do kind of like these options..







It will be interesting to see if/how it is translated in the paper/scrapping community, though.. I think it's definitely better suited as a textile/cosmetics option..

 

Not impressed with it here, but I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of rose/gold spinoffs from it, which might be fun!

 

it is not my favorite ... in fact, i don't like it at all except for lipstick and fingernail polish (and then it needs to be shimmery). but - i loved the last few years' colors (even the purple! i don't like barney purple - but most other shades are pretty to me.

It's not the most exciting color ever, but I'm also not sure that the Pantone color of the year really affects my life. LOL

I did buy a shirt that color just before they announced it. Maybe I'm ahead of the curve for once.
