Ballet style ones? mmm ... I'm not sure I've seen those. Courtney has regular black Toms but I haven't felt the love for them yet. I love little flats, especially the ballet flat type ones, but they are soo rough on my body.
The older I get the more sore my feet are and the more I have to pay attention to getting good quality shoes. Problem is that I really love flip flops too. I bought these Clarks sandals about 3-4 years ago and wore them solid for two whole years. I can wear them all day long and my feet don't hurt. I even wore them to Legoland to walk in all day long and my feet didn't hurt. They are fabulous. I bought a new pair last summer and just love them to death. I think this year I'm going to get the pink pair.
I'm a flip-flop girl too. Definitely not a fan of closed toe shoes. The last several years I wear Tevas all summer long.
Given a choice I'd go barefoot year round but after a torn achilles tendon and a bone spur pushed me to have the other knee replaced, I've learned that for most of the year I had better wear lace up walking shoes. Not so pretty imho but they sure are colorful!! My knee doctor reminded me that if you fall with a knee replacement, it's likely you will break your leg just about the new knee! Yikes I sure don't want that! I have never been able to tolerated the thing between my toes with flip flops but my future daughter in law who was visiting said she is the same but found a pair with a smooth leather thingy. Truly useful for her as she lives in SoCAL. I've been wearing a $store pair when I go to get a pedicure and sure need something better.
I love the Teva brand. Looking at these.....I LOVE the grey ones, great price too! http://www.teva.com/women-sale/wander-lace/1008613.html I have a pair of Teva flip flops that I have for beach walks. They are flip flops but the material wraps up to cover the large toe. Water proof and the toe coverage for when you climb over rocks. LOVE THEM! Have you considered buying a great support insert for your current shoe? If the only reason your replacing is for support?
I have problems with my feet and usually don't worry a lot about how shoes look as long as they are comfortable. I haven't found a pair of tennis shoes that are comfortable for all day use. I have a pair of Clark's flip flops that I like. Usually I wear Fit Flops but they are kinda expensive.
Don't get me wrong ... I love ... want to marry ... flip flops and sandals!! I am working on my 2013 photos and just came across a photo of my big toe. Yes, my big toe!! I was out putting chemicals in the pool and stumbled as I was walking back by the pump. I sliced the top of my big toe on a stepping stone. I sort of want to scrap it, but it's kind of against my unofficial scrap rules. Maybe I'll include the fully bandaged picture. What was I wearing on my precious feet ... flip flops, of course!!
Yellow Box. If you click on the image, it links to their site. You can also Google, of course. I bought mine at a local Steinmart!
this is not the color I got, but they are like these! I got mine at TJ Maxx for about 30 dollars? Something like that! And then I got the regular style Toms that are stripes and stars. I also got a pair of these at TJ Maxx for about 30! I had never heard of them before but they were super comfy! I didn't realize they were so expensive! Also, I love TJ Maxx and get most things there lol
I just bought a pair of these Dr. Scholl's memory foam (at Famous Footwear... they were cheaper there). They are super comfy. I can't wear Converse anymore because I need some arch support. I also bought a pair of Super Feet insoles because the podiatrist recommended them. I can slip them into most shoes so far.
