Hi all! Life has not exactly been easy going for me the last couple of months. But since things are getting better and I know some of you have wondered, so let me share some positive news. Exactly one month ago I became the mother of my gorgeous baby boy Jonah. My pregnancy wasn’t smooth with growth worries and high blood pressure. Getting induced didn’t go as planned and 25 minutes after they broke my water my baby was born through an emergency c-section. My baby boy unfortunately had severe neonatal hypoglycaemia and we spend 24 days in hospital including NICU. It really took a lot of patience, positivity, and suppert from my “village” to get through this. Let’s say I’m happy to live in the Netherlands and this didn’t ruin me financially on top of the emotional trauma. But we’re home now (since last Friday)!! I’m trying to adjust to this new life which is everything good and scary and exciting and anxious all at the same time.

That's such wonderful news!! I'm so glad to see this update, been wondering how you've been going Berniek & although it sounds like not a great start, it also sounds like you've both been looked after & hopefully aren't too mentally and emotionally worn out. I hope you can both now settle in to newborn home life & I'm sure this will be an extra special Christmas and that we don't need to remind you to take a million pictures because they change so fast and I look forward to seeing Jonah starring in pages in the gallery at some stage!
