Welcome to Week 1 of the May Muse Challenge! Hope you are all doing well! This month we are looking at creating bookmarks using positive affirmations. We have come up with some affirmation groupings and so each week you will be given a different grouping to use in creating at least one bookmark (more if you want) + create one layout to which you will add your bookmark. Affirmation statements or quotes encourage positive thinking. "I" statements can be a powerful tool in empowering ourselves. Reading an uplifting affirmation first thing in the morning is a great way to start your day off on a positive note. They can also encourage us to think more deeply on things which in turn may leave us with a feeling of peace, calm and clarity. Challenge Week 1 Details : Positive self/Self Motivation/Self Confidence For week 1 we will be using affirmations that fall within our personal space, affirmations that we can use to reinforce our own thoughts about ourselves, to motivate us or to build up our own confidence. Create a bookmark (or two) using any affirmation that resonates with you in your own personal sphere, whether it is something positive about yourself, something that will motivate you or something that will help in building up your own confidence. Here some positive thoughts to get you started using I AM, two of the most powerful words, for what you put after them shapes your own reality. I am smart I am successful I am powerful I am loved I am talented I am peaceful I am worthy I am unstoppable I am divine I am expressive I am creative I am whole and complete I am free I am enough My bookmark and layout: Here is my layout plus bookmark. To be honest I started on my bookmark first and then got stuck soooooo, I went ahead and created my layout (leaving a spot for my bookmark) first. For me it was a lot easier to then create the bookmark, based on the affirmations I had used in the layout. I also wanted to the bookmark to stand out which is why I went with a black & white background. Challenge for Week 1 Refer to the Challenge Details at the top of the post, under the pink heading. Every bookmark (s) + layout you create is equal to one entry in the random draw. So if you create 1 bookmark + 1 layout you are entered once, if you create 2 bookmarks + 2 layout you are entered 2 times - so you need to have at least one (1) bookmark on one layout - however you can make more than one bookmark if you like and add them all to one layout but it will counted as one entry. You can create any style of page ie. clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc,. Your page can be all digital or hybrid. Wherever the inspiration takes you as long as you include TLP products on your page. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to Midnight EST June 1st, 2025 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! You can use any products in the Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). Free Bookmark Templates: Here are some bookmark templates I have created if you would like to download and use them. Dropbox link is: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/13u31nkk9sqcxsfi4lboj/h?rlkey=de0rizu9xs6wfvd6lla86fd3c&dl=0 The idea is to open the template save it straight away with a new name, hide the title layer and then turn on the layer visibility for the one (s) you want to work with. You can either just leave the other layers hidden or just delete them and save again. If you have any questions then please ask away, really looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with!
{I probably missed the brief entirely. But I did make a bookmark and I do wish to have a more positive outlook on life. And I really love what I made and it doesn't count for a prize anyway.} I am creative!

Thank you for the challenge! I decided to just play with the prompt and not worry about making a page to fit into my yearbook! Loving the Muse! Not sure why I shied away for so long! I have a vision for the 4 weeks...let's see how it pans out.
