It’s January! Unbelievable. That means we are starting the year off with a new Art Journal challenge. Angela was listening to her youngsters playing a word game and heard this Wedding Rhyme: Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue…It clicked in her head that it would be a great Art Journal Muse. She was right, it IS a great Art Journal Muse. This month we will be focusing on this Rhyme as it pertains to Art Journaling as opposed to Weddings. Your challenge this week is to create a layout following the theme Something Old: Scrap about something old. This can be anything: a memory, a thought you had years ago, an object, an old friend, an old job…get the idea? Create your page with an older scrapbook kit. Peruse your stash and choose a kit that you haven’t scrapped with in 2024. I know I tend to use my new kits all the time and seldom go back to an older kit. But looking at my older kits is a great way to fall in love with them again! Here is my page: Challenge Rules Create a page inspired by “Something Old” Use a scrapbook kit that you didn’t use in 2024 You can create any style of page ie. clean and simple, artsy etc. Your page can be all digital or hybrid. Wherever the inspiration takes you as long as you include TLP products on your page and it meets the requirements to post in the TLP gallery. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to Midnight EST 02 February 2025 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". If you want to work with a divided page template then you are welcome to use the templates that Ona created and which are available on Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/nx2ya9qtf9uqjwrfbv7vs/h?rlkey=ucikrkh36foim4szirsizq0rg&dl=0 We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! Every page you create is equal to one entry in the random draw. So if you create 1 page you are entered once, if you create 4 pages you are entered 4 times. (Maximum of four entries.) You can use any products in the Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). I can’t wait to see what you create to start off the new year!
This was a great idea of Angela's for this month's muse! thanks for hosting Kimberly! I am going to use the divided template this month, just so I have it all on one page! Off to scrap!!

This kit is not terribly old, but I haven't used it yet, and it was sitting in my stash for rather a long time, waiting for the right moment And the picture is of my parents and me
