Would anyone like to join me for making January a bit healthier? :)

    My goals for January:

I would like to exercise for at least 30 minutes 5 days a week.

I would also like to cut out sugar with the exception of two birthdays coming up. This one is really going to be a challenge for me as I have gotten used to all the goodies over the holidays. :)

Come join me with what ever goals you'd like! :)

    Love this!

My goal for 2025 is to be able to do one full pull up/chin up so my goal for January is to attempt a pull up once a day.

    I'll join you.

I recently moved across the country and haven't gotten into a good schedule yet. I miss my water aerobics group in Utah and haven't found one here yet.

I've also noticed that I'm not drinking enough water like I used to, so I'm going to put a water tax on certain parts of our rental. That means if I go through the kitchen to get to my office/computer I have to grab my water bottle and drink it while I'm scrappin/surfing/working. If I set down to watch tv, I have to drink water... etc. Hopefully that will help me feel and sleep better too. :agree

Me! Me! As I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about, I broke my leg in July. I pretty much soothed myself with food and was mostly immobile in bed and a wheelchair for about 2 months and had limited mobility for a couple months after that. So I need to get back to eating better and exercising (and hopefully lose a few pounds that snuck on). In fact, I've just settled on my one little word for this year: strong.

Anyhoo, I'd love to join. Here is an easy fitness tracker I put together for myself to follow where I am. Made with Anita Designs, Rachel Etrog, and Designed by Soco, Choose Hope Collection.

Count me in. I’ve been walking pretty consistently since we moved. I do want to work on increasing my water intake and adding a 30-45 workout routine at least 3 times a week. I currently walk everyday for about 30-45 minutes each morning (provided no hurricanes…. LOL).

I’m in! And believe it or not, my word for the year is….. Strong. My goal is to do some strength training three times a week, I’m not getting younger and need to strengthen the skeleton.

I probably need to do some strength training too. I was thinking about getting a weighted vest to wear walking. Has anyone tried one... do you like it?

I will try my best. I think I didn't even go to the gym once in December and I need to start again, preferably twice a week but I'll start with just once for sure. I also need to drink more water.
Not going to the gym for so long I can feel my knees are suffering. Loosing muscles in my legs impact my stairs climbing so much it is scary.
Even if I can't loose weight I need to at least have some muscle to support me so I really need to go back and excercise more... Crossing fingers

I was wondering about those vests, too. Maybe someone here uses one!

I work out with online workouts by HASFit. They have a ton of strength (and other) workouts. I use their app which is by subscription and has lots of different programs you can follow but I think all of their workouts are available free on YouTube. Highly recommend. No nonsense, just good workouts.

I need to get back to the gym. It's been awhile and I really need it! I'd like to go at least 3 times a week and then do something at home at least a couple of days a week. I basically hit my goal weight over the summer but I really need the exercise more for heart health these days. I did so well getting all my numbers down and on the right track, and then I totally slacked off.

I have set myself the goal to cut out the rubbish food and eat more veg, last few months noticed we have been living on unhealthy food choices. This has caused my weight to increase, I am still the same dress size but everything is a little snug lol.

I have fitness equipment at home so goal is to workout at home and go for more walks. I am going on a Grecian Cruise in May so that is my target date to get in shape.

I'll play. We just got a BowFlex and got it set up. I really need to do strength training and get stronger! So my goal is three days/week on that machine. For food, I want to incorporate more vegetables into my meals. I usually am good to have them at dinner, but often it is the same things. I'd like to branch out and do some different things for dinner and have them with my other meals too.

I will join in with you all!

My aim is doing some form of exercise each day. Most afternoons around 4pm I do indoor walking with Youtube videos and have been doing this for a couple of years. It is working as my upper legs are thinning and my upper arms are also getting slightly thinner.

My other aim is to eat healthier - no in-between meal snacks. I have given up eating sweet cookies and because my husband is borderline diabetic I have started baking cookies and cakes that have little or no sugar.
