My Patriotic Tree

 

not quite how I envisioned it turning out, not sure I am a fan but it's done. Spent my morning on picket duty, it was coooold, just want to curl up, get warm and go to sleep.

This was a struggle until, suddenly, it all fell together! Now I love it!

I putzed around with this all day, not sure what I wanted to do, and the whole time I had this awesome kit right under my nose. Once I realized how perfect it is for the challenge I knew what I wanted to do. The only hard part was convincing myself to not stick all the fancy embellishments on the page.

 

There are so many awesome pages here! I wish I could have been a little more creative but it just didn't happen!!! Mine looks more like a vase of flowers. LOL! At least I had fun!

 

I had a ball with this one... I was so lucky that the first folders I opened, had perfect elements to build my tree with... The trunk was an artsy bit by Tangie, the branches are coral by Volori Wibbons, the foilage, Rebecca's wonderful cubbage & coo crosshatches, with a paper from Valorie's Mermaid kit clipped over..(the fish scales made perfect leaves)... I have actually put the links to all of these products in the gallery, since I thought they might be hard to find without the links... and I am now all caught up... (pat on back!)
