Phew, this one killed more than a few brain cells! Ha ha! I'm glad I finally came up with something a little different for me though!
January 8 Build Your Own Tree This definitely forced some out of the box thinking for me. I used ribbon for the trunk and branches and butterflies for the leaves.
I explained in the gallery.... not what I wanted, but without access to my kits... anyway, never mind, the drawing is mine (also a photo of it in the page description hope you like!!!
I had to force myself not to overthink this -- I'm behind and can't afford as much time as I'd like to play. So, sometimes a tree is just a tree -- this one has a trunk made from paper bits, tape and stitching; the branches are stitching and doodles; the leaves are the paint marks
January 8 - Build Your Own Tree A Quiet Place: Bundle by Rachel Jefferies Wake Up and Be Awesome by Rachel Jefferies Sunshine In My Soul by Rachel Jefferies (3 doodles only, retired kit as Captivated Visions) If clarification is needed, the trunk is made from doodles, scribbles, and paint washes. The branches are the swirly doodles and x's in the background, and the leaves are the flower and leaves.
Thank you so much for this amazing challenge, and I am truly sorry for what is happening to Australia. This started out and was supposed to be a happy go lucky tree, but ended up as a bit of an appeal . There are so many beautiful trees here WoW !!!
So, this is layout #2 for this challenge... I'm still working on the first layout, but was falling behind, so moved on and this came together much quicker trunk - ribbon / branches - stitches / leaves - flowers & butterflies
I gulped when I read the challenge and there are so many wonderful interpretations. I eventually stopped overthinking and just enjoyed playing
