January 7th: Scrap Therapy Your challenge today is to do some scrap therapy - my favorite kind of scrapping. I want you to scrap something that is weighing on your heart, and making it scream. scrap-therapy is there to get it OUT of your head and OFF your mind and onto "paper" so you can forget about it and move on! You know those exercises where you write down all your troubles and then rip them up, or burn them, thereby ridding yourself of them, that's what scrap-therapy is, except you get to be artistic with it and in the end, you have something beautiful to show for your sorrows and still feel better after! Now, this can be art-journaling type of scrapping, but it doesn't have to be, I've done an example of two kinds of scrap-therapy, just remember, to get some journaling on your layout, and try some symbolizing. When I do scrap-therapy, I don't always want the journaling to be easy for just anyone to read, maybe I don't even want to read it myself, just writing it down to begin with is the therapy. So I'll blend my journaling, or even cover it up with paint. Give it a try, there is no wrong-way to scrap these. I can't wait to see what you do! Here is an artsy take on scrap-therapy: and here is the traditional take: Have fun with this, OR better: let out some frustration or anger or sadness that has been plaguing you! Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Please post your page in your page thread you created in this folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. You should also post your page here in this thread, and people can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers).
aah yes well... i'm going to head to bed and dredge up crappy feelings tomorrow instead... not in need of scrap therapy right this moment...
you have all month! I wonder if you could do scrap therapy about something happy too? If you can, go for it, I'd love to see how you spin it!
Hmmm....off to do some thinking! ==== Done with mine! Phew! it wasn't easy! Decided to focus on the positives
You can totally do something happy too - Just whatever needs to get out - and sometimes that is GOOD things! LOVE this challenge!
in years past i had some real need for scrap therapy and it really did help fortunately right now i do not have any big need but of course there are the little annoying things that i can always write about! lol....for those who havent done scrap therapy and have big issues it does really help and is helpful much later on when you read it (hopefully things have moved on by then) one moc i was not ready to post cause it was all about my grandson being born still and i just couldnt put that up here yet...i privately posted to the challenge leader so if you have something really deeply upsetting i suggest you give it a try...it could help you just by getting it out
