Such a fantastic technique, Christa!! I had so much fun with it and learned something new! Fun and great directions!
OMG, Thanks for the challenge @cfile. I always love the look of this but I don't think I have ever tried doing a b/w on the background and then the color on top w/ a frame. I love how it turned out!
What a fun challenge and your instructions were great. There are some wonderful pages here.I ended up using a colorful background since the car had a green screen backdrop.
this REALLY challenged me as its my first bleded layout! i had to surrender after trying a few different pics to this being "good enough" I cannot get over the extend of the talented artists in this group, gorgeous work everyone!
What a fabulous challenge!! Will my custom shaped frame count for this? Please let me know so that I can fix it if it does not.
MOC7 - Jan 4 - Blend Challenge All elements, except the CC with arrow (I made it) and the photomask, are from various Storyteller files 2017-2018. This is another page for my son's graduation book. The first meet of the season and he placed 8th with a time of 17:14.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this challenge. I've never done this before. Everyone's pages are so beautiful! My photo was not as big as I would have liked so it does not fill the page (and I'm a fill the page kinda scrapper!) but I really thought it was a fun photo and the technique really helps let the main topic stand out while putting it into context. So cool. Thank you!
I loved this challenge, thanks Christa. Partly because it's my favourite style, but also because it stretched me trying to create a design that worked. (At least I think it works, lol). Maybe I could've made the page border a little lighter, but I don't have time to fuss with it any more as we're in the middle of renovating.
