Oh I don't like this discussion... Cheryl reacted on pages already, not telling they didn't fit requirements, so guess it doesn't really really matter how big... just significant bigger than other pictures. But to make sure I'm making a full page pictures...
Note to self ... read instructions thoroughly! Have used a double page template and not included a three times larger photo. Hmmm. Off to see if it will fit another challenge I have yet to do and start over on this one!
sorry Lorry what I meant was 3/3... when you make something 3X the size both height & width need to be multiplied x 3 ...to keep dimensions relative 3/3=1 what I meant was 3/4 X 3/3=9/12 3x4, 6x8, 9x12, 12x16, etc. 3:4 Aspect Ratio 75.0%
Yes, of course if you want the same aspect ratio you need to multiply the same number in both dimensions. If you do what you described, it will be 3 times wider, 3 times taller, and 9 times larger. I never said anything that contradicts that.
Okay I have a question about how big to save this once I am done to fit the requirements for the forum? Normally on a 12x12 it would be 600x600 pix with 72 dpi. What do we save this one as to load the layout? Thanks.
I read this and thought of Zoolander: "What is this? A two-page lo for ANTS?! That pic must be ... 3 times bigger!" Sorry, that's one of my fave movies.
@lorryfach @Frumpje @cfile @carilyne It was 1 am in the morning when I responded to this issue already, but Lorry must have missed the post. I've made a Q&A section in my original post now for anyone else just now seeing the challenge. I'm not going to debate mathematics. I majored in English Education. The point of the challenge is that you have to have a large focal photo and smaller photos to accent. Like I said, I'm not getting a ruler out. If I can't eyeball it and see that your focal photo is approximately 3 times as large as your smallest photo, then I'll message privately to let you know. I'm all about a good challenge, but the ultimate challenge is for you to complete your layout to have another page for your memory albums. It's not to make you stress over math. How exact does the photo which has to be 3x as big have to be? For example if you use 3x4 photos does that mean that the large one has to be 9x12??? Yes, that's correct. Obviously, if that's too big for your liking, make sure your smallest photo is smaller than 3x4. I'm not breaking out a ruler here . . . just make sure you have a large focal photo and smaller photos to accent. @Melissa's Crafts I save mine as 600x300 @ 72 dpi. My example layout in the first post is that size, and uploads to the gallery without any issue!
No I did not miss the post. I was responding to the very one you just quoted about 9 x 12 being right @gonewiththewind which is just furthering the confusion because many of the LOs do not have pics that big yet are apparently okay.
