I was inspired by the colors in Vivaldi's Autumn - fun challenge! Thank you Tangie Baxter for the template!
Oh Cynthia, your pages are glorious!!! I am going to have to explain my thinking/inspiration on mine. So I started with the colours of summer, and that is how her dress started. Then I gave her the hat, which seemed very summery to me, so then I needed some more greenery, hence, her skirt. The Summer music made me think of the Queen and Prince Phillip coming down a staircase, very regal, so I looked through my stash for a Prince Phillippy kind of beau. Voila! THEN, I saw the bird and thought he looked confused...what would he be confused about? Hmm, her outfit possibly? I know the Prince was muttering something to himself) And so, I gave the Prince his voice so he could get out what was going around in his furry head. The moon is for romance for those two lovebirds. And that would be summer, right? Anyways: Summer music and summer picture. Thanks for the fun challenge!
My apologies if I missed this question somewhere along the way. This is a photoless challenge (aside from possible faces), but would a screen shot from a video game count as a photo? No big deal if it does/isn't allowed but I figured I'd ask in case this page I'm working on sticks to the board.
OK I will admit that making the garment out of flowers was pretty mesmerizing...and took a lot of time but I still think these dolls are creepy..My inspiration was...wait for it...Spring! MOC-25-weird-and-creepy-doll-challenge by suetr posted Jan 25, 2018 at 9:47 PM
Cynthia! Thank you for such a fun, fun, fun challenge! Thanks to Tangie for the doll template. I love the dolls, but never know what to do with them. I've certainly never made my own! I didn't think I could do it, but I've had so much fun trying all day!!! Now I want to do it again! Also, thank you for the links to the beautiful music. I was inspired by Vivaldi's 4 Seasons: "Summer". My layout doesn't look much like summer, but the cocktail and the dress remind me of summer. I used pieces from different kits so I hope I gave everyone credit. I have really enjoyed looking at everyone's creative layouts and their dolls! WOW! BTW, I don't even dream I'm PERFECT, but I wanted to use this word art on my page! LOL!
This was such fun! I've never made an art doll before, but I think I'm definitely going to be trying this again. Thanks for the challenge, Cynthia! And for the doll template, Tangie! As a dancer, I know this piece of music well, so decided to make my doll into a dancer, and went with the Spring theme.
