As I am scanning through completed pages in the challenge folder I cam across this and this song is currently playing on my Spotify!! Funny. Love this song.

I love this song. I immediately feel happy when I am sad or frustrated. On the song you can dance wonderfully.

 

Because I need to be reminded of this truth

 

This is my favorite ride and Disneyland! (Well, one of three that are tied for first favorite.) A lot of people hate this song, but it never gets on my nerves and I love the message!

this song by Alessia Cara is so beautiful to me! love it so much. This layout talks about my resolve to try loving myself more this year, without seeking approval or acceptance from anyone else.

This was not at all the page I had in mind when the challenge popped up. But I have been having a particularly rough couple of days between being busy with housework, organising play dates for Melody, coping with hubby's mood swings (mental health, not just a pain in the butt) and being completely exhausted from Mr-almost-2 not sleeping. This song has been rolling around my head for days. Sometimes I need to stop and just breathe.

I finally figured out what to do! Yippee! Thanks for the challenge, for once again I scrapped a page in a way I never would've before.

Here is mine - I picked Odds Are by Barenaked Ladies. I get stressed out and anxious, especially lately (hubby was off for 2 months after surgery at the same time I'm on mat leave, so it was a stressful time!), and this song always makes me breathe and relax and remember that yes, odds are everything will be alright.

Journaling : Oh Christmas Tree is right! Our tree is a little pathetic this year. Russ is only 8 months old, and we just can't put up a big tree with lots of ornaments, he would destroy it. So although Laney wasn't thrilled, it is what it is.

 

It took me a while to get an idea for this page.

 

I try not to take myself too seriously so this was never going to have any deep and meaningful lyrics.

 

Technically I Already Scrapped 2 Layouts That Include Lyrics...So When I Saw This Challenge I Was Kinda Stumped...There Are So Many Songs That I Could Have Picked But The Other Day I Heard "Ain't No Sunshine" During A Television Show That I Was Watching & Immediately Thought Of My Mom...Her Birthday Is 3 Days From Now & I Think Of Her More Towards Her Birthday Every Year...She Was My Closest Friend...I Miss Her So Much!...She Passed Away Many Years Ago But Sometimes It Seems Like Yesterday...She Loved Music & Bright Colors & She Always Had A "Sunny" Disposition & She Loved To Laugh So Much!...So This Layout Is Clearly About Her...Happy Birthday Mom!...
