January 21: Song Lyric Challenge (Inspiration Challenge)

Here is my LO:

 

I wrestled with this one for a long, long time trying to choose a happier tune. This song just kept playing in my head so I went for it.

I introduced the band K's Choice to my friend Markus when we were in high school. He has liked the band ever since, and last May, I had the honor of singing two songs by them at his wedding, with another friend of ours on the guitar. It was such a joy to see their happiness, and to play music that meant so much to them on this important day.

I chose Lee Ann Womack's I Hope You Dance. My daughter loves to dance and will often stop what she is doing to bounce and move to the music, especially during her favorite songs. I thought of this song in particular because of the line "when you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance."

I really don't know why but this song pops into my head every time we're in an airport or heading on vacation (even if it's not on a jet plane!)

 

So many songs to choose from! Music literally is the soundtrack to my life, so it was hard to decide. I chose "Somebody that I used to know" by Gotye. The song reminds me of an ex, in that I find it kind of funny that someone you've known for years, suddenly is a stranger to you.

Well the full lyrics are not exactly appropriate, and don't really match the type of holiday we had hahaha
BUT, the feel of the song, the upbeat tune and the "We party party party, We party bali style" part suits perfectly and the song had been going through my mind in the lead up to and during the holiday
Definitely had to include it in the scrapping!

Inspired by the fact that I love my exboyfriend with all my heart. We always end up coming back to each other. Needlesstosay, we are in teh process of working on the back together again for some reason this always comes back to me perhaps because when we first started dating he was always traveling and when he cheated on me every one he worked with knew and would not say anything. We worked our way through it. Closed another chapter in life then we looked back and ended up back in each others life. All I want is for him to come back to the same city so I can say I love you and that we are back together but while he is away it is really really hard for me to completely say we are where we need to be because truly he just needs to come back home forever.

 

I chose the song You Can Go ("Puedes Llegar" -Gloria Estefan/Voces Unidas-) because the lyrics are very positive and personally I am trying to see the good side to problems that have presented me both health and work.

the song I picked was "It's A Small World" which fit perfect with these photos plus I love everything Disney.. I got engaged at Disneyland and Honeymooned at DisneyWorld.
