January 21st: Inspiration Challenge - Song Lyrics This is an Inspiration Challenge. I'm so excited to host this one! Music has always been part of my soul, especially lyrics! Every important moment, person, situation in my life ends up with "theme songs". The lyrics seem to just fit what I'm living or my feelings for a person. Years after any given time in my life, a song will play on a playlist or the radio that BAM, immediately transports me straight into a memory. Or I will hear a song that speaks to me in the now. Music has gotten me through so man rough times and has reinforced the good times. You must include lyrics from a song in your project. Your song lyrics should be from a recorded song, pick something that makes you feel, that is relevant to yourself right now or reminds you of your subject that you are scrapping. We are looking for something that digs a little deeper, something that touched your life. You don't need to include a photo on your page, but if you do, the photo must be connected to the lyrics that you choose. I love how music can transform a simple moment into a long enduring memory! Things you may otherwise forget comes flying back to you when you hear these words again. Let's document the lyrics that carry our attitudes towards our life moments! I chose to create an All About Me page for this challenge (cause we all know my fascination with All About Me pages haha), but you can choose any subject you want, your family, a person, even a thing! As long as your lyrics connect you to your subject, all is fair game! Here is my take on the challenge. Life has been pretty crazy lately and I'm working to create a lot of changes in myself, one of which is self confidence. I chose to use song lyrics from 2 of my current 'power songs', 'Dangerous' by Royal Deluxe and 'Glitter and Gold' by Barns Courtney. To me, these 2 songs embody the theme of internal strength and being proud of my desire to take on the world. Remember, it doesn't necessarily have to be obvious to others what the meaning is, it just has to make sense to you, but a short explanation of your chosen phrase or lyrics connection to your main these should be included both in your credits and in this thread. Requirements: 1. Scrap a page that includes song lyrics from a recorded song that are meaningful to you. 2. Your lyrics must be connected to the main theme of your page. 3. Include a short explanation of why your lyrics resonate to you. Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page should be uploaded to the TLP Gallery and not an outside hosting site. Please post your page in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. You should also post your page here in this thread, and people can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store). All MOC pages must be posted in your main MOC page thread by 11:59 pm eastern time on February 2 in order to count!
Oh I have song that means so much to me. I got to do this for my journal. This will take the place of my little word.
Darn there is one song that I can never catch the name of. Time to find some good songs for that motivation
great challenge! here's mine: well, no one enters into a marriage expecting it to fail. The second split has been devastating for me. love this song!
Ack. Does it have to be a whole song, or just the title? Or, just one line? I'm not a lyrics type of person. I can't "hear" them when a song is being sung/played unless I'm reading them at the same time, so I never learn them.
Whatever part of it speaks to you. You can also google "inspirational song lyrics" if that helps, and read through them
A difficult challenge for me, but I manage to do a layout ! Song lyrics from Teri Moïse (Je serai là) This french song explains the love of mother for her child, explains that she will always be there for her child, to help he/she, to offer a better life, an ideal life without trouble and harm It's exactly that I feel and I want for my children
I was inspired by the song " A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri in memorie of the wedding of my son with his beloved bride last year. This song was played at the marriage. What a wonderful and emotional day.
I love the song Toes in the Water by Zac Brown Band... it's all about chilling at the beach. Here's my page using that as the title:
