Okay, so, overachiever that I am, I want to do not only a regular project life project with random photos each week, but I also want to document our view with a photo a day so we can see how it changes throughout the year. We'll see if I can stick with this! I modified 4x6 templates from Paislee Press for both pages: PL Week 1: View Week 1:
I just finished my week 1 layouts. I am among those so were so excited about the 1st being on a Sunday. My weekly layouts are pretty boring...I follow the basic format each week and keep it simple with lots of photos (as long as I have them). But it's worked for me for the last five years, so I'll stick to what's working. Yikes...I can't believe this will be my sixth year of weekly pocket scrapping!
You know, I must be type Z... because I was actually a bit miffed that the 1st was on a Sunday rather than Monday. So I GUESS I'm going to do Sunday - Monday this year? Even though I've ALWAYS done Monday - Sunday. *Sigh* It just seems so silly to add an extra day in week 1 when, for all intents and purposes, week 1 is a nice, tidy little week with a clean break. It kinda bugs me... but I keep telling myself it doesn't. We'll see if I get all itchy and break out in hyves or anything.... bwaaah!
Maureen, this has been my problem for the past few months! I just feel so uninspired. And we don't really do anything fabulous besides stay in the house and keep warm. So, I try to find things to photograph that are meaningful or that will be fun details to look back on. But sometimes, I just have a SUPER light photo week.
Wow I love all the pages! Good job all. I'm new here, I just introduced myself and I also wanted to show my first page of this week! I got twins and make each of them their own book. The same design, the same text but with some different papers and pictures. All text is in Dutch with some small words in English.
Thank you! I did it with my paper project life too but i'm running behind with it. Digital is much easier to copy and change a little bit
Glad to switch from MOC today and get these done. However, I don't like being a day behind on MOC! Shall I say...Type A???
If you're talking about my pages, I'm trying something new this year. A continuous stream of days with a divider calendar card for when the new week starts. This is year 5 of project life for me and I needed to try something different this year.
This is such an inspiring thread! Love coming back here and seeing more pages! I started week 2 and here's the first page, I may have three pages this week (don't want to squish the rest into one since Sunday itself took this whole page). I will also use these journal cards by Sahlin Studio to mark the week number and dates!
WELCOME to the Lilypad!! So happy to see you jumping right in! I have to say, I LOVE the idea of making them each their own book... but I bet that keeping them similar and swapping out pictures / papers here & there makes it easier to get 2 done at the same time. Glad you're joining in! I look forward to getting to know you!
So, here's my week 1: I'm kind of trying to break free of the limitations of the exact sizing of pocket pages - 4x6, 3x4, etc... I was starting to feel super frustrated working through 2016. I kept trying to put my finger on what was bugging me... and I realized it was the actual layout. I just need room to make it be something other than exactly structured... which basically reflects just about every aspect of my life. LOL So, we'll see how this goes for 2017... Try it for the 1st quarter and see if it fits.
Ah yes, I see now! I didn't noticed the calendar in the corner. It is always difficult to find a way that works for you. My problem is that I always have way to many pictures for each week so it is difficult to make just one spread for each week.
Thank you! Well I think that's the only way to manage I think, to keep them similar and only place different pictures. I sometimes also change the text a little bit because they really are two different persons so I try to tell this in their books. Very nice! I love the idea to change sizes for the pictures. For digital pocket page you don't need to use exactly the 4x6 and 3x4 sizes, you can use any size!
My twins turned one last week and I just needed to make an extra page for it. For my daughter: For my son:
