January 2: Photography challenge {shallow depth of field}

I did it, it took a few times in front of the aquarium, but it worked! Thank you for that ap Snapspeed. Once again, I learn. That is my favorite!

 

Here is another, I like this one better than the one for the speed scrap. Used my phone portrait mode again for this one, but I think I was able to get a better "frame"

 

I loved taking these fun pics of my puppy...used AfterEffects app

 

Lighting was not my friend today... it was so overcast and dark in the house! I used the portrait setting on my phone to blur the background.

 

Here's my day 2--used the Snapseed app to get the affect with my iPhone:

 

Here is mine. Had to make the photo XL in size because I just love it so!

 

A great reason to get out my big camera! Wish my Christmas tree was still up!

 

I had a difficult time with this as I have a different version of PSE than the directions used. Although the blur wasn't as strong as I'd have liked it was fun to learn something I have never done before. My focus was on the ghost.

 

This was fun! I love doing this with photos. Here the gasket and hands are in focus, but his face is not.

 

I snapped a quick photo during my lunchtime Target run today for the challenge.

 

This is a picture of my new ornaments hanging on a stand close to the camera with the tree in the back ground. Fun challenge! (Thanks for the reminder to get a picture of the ornaments!)

Here is mine - loved doing this technique!

 

I learned how to use the selective focus feature on my android phone camera.

 

Went grocery shopping tonight... finding joy in the little things!

 

I didn't end up having much luck with my camera set for the "little flower" so ended up taking a photo with my iPhone and then using Photoshop's Iris Blur. There was actually some blur already, but this really added to it! A good challenge. I definitely need to spend more time learning how to use my camera.

 

I used my Nikon D90 tonight and a prime 50 mm lens for this photo. I must have taken 20 photos and this was the best one I could get because she is a blinker! Lol...
