    The focus is on the red mug in the center. No people around today and it's once again overcast and gray. Rain, I'm sure. Sigh..

    I used 'selective' focus, an option in my smartphone, my sister told me about this Christmas...
    I had never used it before.. I have been playing with it al lot! So much fun!
    Effect is used on the framed photo.

    and hung a napkin to my chair cover for the background.

    Window shot? One of my favorite hurricane photos is a leaf that blew against the window. I captured it with a shallow dof, so the rain and outside behind it is blurry.

    My understanding is it needs to be new, going forward, not a previously taken photo.
    I think that's why @FarrahJobling said "Today's challenge is to scrap a NEW photo with shallow depth of field."
    But she will correct if I'm mistaken!
