Hello everyone! I’m posting a little early because today’s challenge is going to take some time and I want you all to be able to get a head start on it. With MOC this year we’ve been documenting lots of things and today my challenge is to document your day. What you document and how you document it is up to you, the only requirement is that you have at least five distinct times listed on your page and the date of the day you documented (the day you document should be one day from the day of the challenge, January 17, through the end of MOC, January 31). Your page can be full of photos, have no photos or have anything in between. Same goes for journaling (just make sure the time and the corresponding activity is listed or shown in photos). Your page does not need to document your entire day or even all of your daily activities. Have fun with it… if you don’t want to document your whole day, document something specific about your daily life… like the beverages you have throughout the day, your meals and snacks that day, the steps it takes for getting out of the house in the morning, or what a typical evening at home looks like for example. Here are some examples: For my first example, I went photoless and used Allison Pennington’s Best Laid Plans set found in the store. My second photo is my day in photos. I know a lot of you like to complete your pages daily and complete them right away. Don’t panic, you can still stay on schedule with this challenge, that’s why I’m posting early to give you time to think. Think about what you want to document about your day… the whole thing or something specific. Then think about how you want to document these things… photos, words or a combo. Once you have those narrowed down, you can start working on your page and fill it in as you go! Have fun with this and please let me know if you have any questions! Just to recap… here are the challenge guidelines: 1. Make a layout to document your day. 2. Have at least five distinct times listed on your layout with its corresponding activity. 3. Make sure the date you used for this challenge is listed on your page. 4. This must be a new page created for any day January 17 through January 31st. (To clarify this, your page must be for any day from the challenge day of Jan 17th, through January 31st) That’s it!! Some Gentle Reminders: Your page must be a new page for it to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places: 1. Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site). 2. Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. 3. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish. Your page must contain Lilypad product (pages with photos and font only do not count). Products from other stores will not be allowed for MOC; your pages must contain 100% Lilypad product (current or retired product from designers or guest designers presently selling at The Lilypad).
Please note rule four - 4. This must be a new page created for any day January 17 through January 31st. (To clarify this, your page must be for any day from the challenge day of Jan 17th, through January 31st) Can there be more than five times listed? Yes... use as many as you want, there just has to be at least five.
This could be a challenge, have to hope I do enough in one day to warrant five distinct photos. Actually now that I look back at the examples @tkradtke, do photos need to be included? If not I should be just fine.
It is night time Tuesday here Down Under so I will need to wait until the morning to start taking photos. P.S. just re-read the instructions and I do not need to use a current day.
I have a lot of segments of my work day and would like to document them all, so like Marilyn asked, can we have more than five times? If not, I can make two pages based on this idea. Thank you for not requiring photos, because I’m not able to take photos throughout my workday, but as I’m a assistant teacher moving between several classrooms and assignments, I’d like to document what those are.
@mcurtt and @michelepixels If you look at Tracie's second example page she has about 7 items on her page.
No photos are required.. "Your page can be full of photos, have no photos or have anything in between. " If you look at Tracie's first example there are no photos. Hope this helps.
Nope... not the current day, but since this challenge is for the 17th of January, it needs to be a day between Jan 17 and Jan 31. Yes... the more the merrier!! I just changed the wording to read "at least five distinct times" which was my intention all along
Nope... no photos needed at all! This challenge is to just get you thinking about documenting your day... how you do that is up to you (as long as it fits the few requirements )
