    Anyone else awake??

    It's almost 2am here in Pa and I'm still up! :banghead I go through these insomnia night / days for a week or so and then I get my sleep schedule back on track and then we start the horrible process all over again! Scrapping has been there for me for the last 2 1/2 months or so. This time of year is the worst for me. For most people there is a reason they do not like this time of year...I have NO reason. Every year the depression and anxiety get much worse around this time and the insomnia and fibromyalgia pain get worse as well. I'm driving my husband nuts I'm sure but he still tells me it will be okay. {He's the best!:beat}

    I'm up because it's only pat 4pm here :giggle

    I'm sorry you are going through this. I don't have insomnia but I do feel blue at this time of the year because apart from hubby I don't have family nearby to celebrate, not even good friends... Japanese don't really do Xmas but if they do they will probably just stay with their family.
    I didn't even decorate...
    The darkness here starts at 4 pm so it doesn't help with the mood either.
    Thankfully I have design to focus on but sometimes I feel so low I don't even want to open my Photoshop :crazy3
    Viscious circle?

    I hope it will pass soon and the new year fun at the Pad will help you get back on good mood and good sleep tracks.

    Yep I suffer from sleep issues so am often awake til the wee hours of the night. In saying that it's only 8.30pm here now (and insanely hot and sticky thanks to summer heat and humidity) so no sleep for me yet.

    So sorry Shannon... yup I am an early riser and tire early ... this time of year is hard for many... not only the holidays but the weather of cold and rainy etc. wreaks havoc on the body.. my shoulder is aching something fierce this last week (I broke my humerus Nov 2021) and when it is damp (which it is right now) it aches terribly causing me to not sleep. Hope you get some relief soon to your insomnia.

    I’m sorry about the insomnia Shannon. Sometimes I wake up at 2am or 4am and can’t go back to sleep and it drives me crazy! I’m glad your husband is helpful through it all. Good luck!

    Insomnia is the worst. I seem to have it A LOT less now that my thyroid levels are under control again, though.

    Thank you! This time of year is so rough for a lot of people. I feel so bad complaining about it but somehow it made me feel so much better. It gets dark here early too and that definitely does not help. The daylight is getting longer minute by minute so hopefullly things will be looking up soon. Scrapping has been a great help keeping me distracted.

    Sorry you're dealing with insomnia. The darkness starting so early sure makes me feel like I need to go to bed earlier, but then I'm up in the middle of the night sometimes too. Sometimes I can fall back asleep after 20-30 minutes, but sometimes I just give up and grab my Kindle and read for awhile. In just a few days at least you can pop on here to see if the new MOC challenge is up yet and start thinking about your page for that day.

    Awww, man. Glad to know I'm not the only one, but sad that you are going through it too. It's soooo frustrating.

    Last night was a decent night so I will be up scrapping in the middle of the night of the night tonight, I'm sure. I've tried just lying there or reading or turning on the tv and nothing works. It's really bad when I get awake, and my husband is snoring or one of the dogs are. You can bet I'm not going back to sleep. I mostly try and laugh if off because if I don't, I would probably be a mess. Thankfully, I don't have children that need to be taken care of daily...we do have my granddaughter half of the week most weeks, but hubby and I make a great team and he will take care of her if I need a nap. I hope yours isn't too bad @scrapsandsass I would not wish insomnia on anyone!

    Glad your husband is so supportive!! I only struggled with insomnia while going through menopause, but it was the worst! Between that and the night sweats, I thought I'd lose my mind. I hate this time of year, but it seems like all I want to do is sleep. The dark really gets to me. I hope you are able to get some good rest soon!!

    It's currently 2am here in PA for me right now also and I'm up! I know I'm not the only one though, the ladies at work have been talking about not being able to sleep good and my parents are having the same issue. Must be something in the air here in PA! I hate my sleep schedule being like this!

    That's awesome!! I wish mine has! I'm hoping the new MOC will give me that mojo back. I'm so overwhelmed with too many things right now that it has drained me from having any mojo what-so-ever but I hope that I get it back soon!
