Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've been actively designing. I am in need of some inspiration to get the creative juices flowing again. What kind of themes would you like me to develop? Are there any of my past kits that you especially love and would like more of? I am a lover of nature and I enjoy infusing my kits with multiple levels of reflection and meaning. I am less of an event scrapper, and more of an artistic journaler. I am also very interested in faith-based journaling / Bible study. So... when I ask for theme ideas, I am not so much looking for event-centered themes, but rather idea/notion/issue centered themes. What do you think? Any ideas to throw my way? If I pick your idea for a kit, I will send you a coupon to get it for FREE once it's done! Thank-you!
For example, one of my favourite kits is Upcycle, as it combines my love of nature, thrifting, and the deeper meaning of being renewed / made new. It opens up to journaling about so many heart issues!
Suggestions: Sunrise / sunset Frigid Signs of spring, i.e. new growth Look up: clouds, blue skies, birds, treetops, etc... A side note, I love your painterly papers.
So happy to see you designing again! I'd love to see a collection about sea, seashells, pearls, listening to the waves, writing in the sand, enjoying the silence of the beach (ok, silence is a bit rare to find especially in summer!).
Books, in general including each genre or like on a smaller scale - example - like historical fiction, grungy feel with a little adventure, intrigue and mystery. A little heartache but the story make a full arc. I second the beach, sunrise, sunset, start and end of a new day, the grains of sand, time, shells and sea glass. The tides change along with the moon. Maybe a winter version and a summer version. Maybe a slight All About Me... or Book of me. Traits, emotions, everyday moments that mean something but you didn't realize it until scrapping it. A conversation, a hug, a positive experience. Lasts - this could range for all ages. Edges on sad, but hope for the future. Last night of summer, last hug from a loved one, last moment in a home you sold, last day at school, last meal at a closing restaurant, etc. Save the best for last, or live everyday like it's your last...
Some ideas: Slower pace life Unplugged Calm & Silence Reading Creating Less is more Cooking Afterthought Recycle/reuse/reduce Serendipity of life Unexpected and my wish I give all designers: vegan/vegetarian life
Oh ideas: Expectations (of life, love, others, for ourselves) Spiritual (can be bible or just over all having faith in things) Hope & Joy Wisdom
Yes, I just love your designs!!! Maps Cruising Southern hemisphere: South America, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia Chess Robotics/engineering/programming The store is really low on sports kits
Life - past, present and future. Something that can help scrap family photo across the ages. Road Trips or anything travel related.
Peace and inner strength or calm or perseverance *whatever it takes to get through the calamities life throws at us almost every day. (may be lemon-blue skies inspired) I loved your father - centric kit, and the new strong woman kit makes me think of my Gran who brought me up. But I would love to see a child-centered kit about how we learn from them to be kinder, more accepting, willing to hear someone out... learning and growing with them (something with a bit of green and rainbow)
Oh, also your firm foundations are some of my faves, if you don't mind making a splatter or a sprinkle of small ellies to go with I would totally go bananas for those. And yes, I love you, and glad to see you back
You've gotten some great ideas so not much for me to add. I too love nature/photography so hope you continue with your tried and true theme of nature. But...adding in some other themes I guess is ok.
There are some AMAZING ideas here! That certainly got my creativity percolating! Now to chose where to begin!
I immediately thought of The Fruit of the Spirit...that could be a great series: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control
Hi! there...Thanks! for asking our opinions...that's cool!... With my new progression...towards...moving forward and trying to discover my new path in my new life...without my dear husband and still learning how to live with my grief struggles...I am all about feeling more present and aware in my life's daily moments...In seeing and scrapping the everyday smaller and simpler relevant moments in my life...I mean everybody scraps about big events...but I mean more focus on life's everyday regular / smaller moments of daily personal joy, reflection, growth, personal private moments of what makes you happy in that moment, tomorrow it might be something completely different...A moment just to breathe while enjoying your special tea or coffee or a new purchase that struck you by surprise but made you happy...I am not saying to scrap a page everyday [but you could if you wanted to...]...I certainly would not be able to do that...but whenever the feeling strikes take a photo and tell your story or go photoless of course,if you choose to... Example, I just finished a layout about how I have learned to smile again, since losing my husband...I don't think I have had a proper smile in a year and a half until now...I felt guilty about wanting to be happy again now that he is gone...but I have come to a point in my recovery with my grief, that I now understand that he wouldn't have wanted me to feel that sad forever...I still feel sad everyday, but not like I used to...I detailed my thoughts in my gallery post with my layout... So,sounds simple right?....Scrapping about a smile?...Not so simple...A very small, simple personal physical gesture but with very big emotional undertones filled with feelings for a positive way to move forward...but it is a very big moment in my personal wellness health and state of mind...to keep moving forward with my daily life...
I used your Unplugged idea for this month’s BYOC! I’ll send you a code to get it for free as soon as I can figure out how to make one with the new shop!
