Hi anybody else received a dubious private message in Russian to visit a website. I checked via Iphone (email message) & translated it.

My apologies, ladies. Spammers are a very pesky and persistent bunch. The two users from earlier have been banned. We're continuing work on prevention.

I want to know what is so intriguing about digital scrapbook types to these spamming people... is it the monetary aspect that makes them pay attention, Laura? Of course, being an annoyance is enough for some it seems.

Many times, they aren't even a "real" person but just a spam bot. They typically come into forums where they are seeing more activity because that gives them more targets. So, it's not the digital scrapbooking so much as it is us being a chatty bunch! As you said, though, it's ridiculously annoying. I've often wondered...why bother? Do people really fall for those posts and PMs? I think the majority of the online world certainly knows better.
