January 17: Inspiration Challenge (Image)

okay. maybe because I already had my glasses on my mind, but I decided to go with the glasses in the picture. I also used this alpha that resembles some typewriter keys, to me. and some older looking paper.

Great challenge, Jill! I was inspired by the colors and the vintage feel.

 

Here is my layout. I change the photo to make it look more vintage looking. The woodgrain from the inspirational layout is in the brackets.

The photo inspired me to work around the edges and leave the middle empty. I have never done a layout like that before....

Challenge 17 - Inspiration Challenge

My Inspiration came from the wood grain background, the typewriter, the journal and the overall vintage feel.

I used the wood grain paper from the Storyteller January 2017 kit from Just Jaimee and layered one of the papers from The Old Curiosity Shop on top, all other items came from The Old Curiosity Shop as well by Dawn Inskip.

 

I got inspiration from the wood background, the typewriter (font) and then scrapping around the edges of the page.

 

I was inspired by the wood background and the teal color against it.

I was inspired by the vintage feel, so I used a vintage photo. Loved the wood background and the white space (only because I only had 2 photos for this “event”!).

My inspiration was the wood and the open center

 

I was definitely inspired by the typewriter, it instantly made me think back to my days of working as a typist for an insurance company. Maybe not exactly what you think of as vintage, but 1981 feels vintage to me.

 

I used the paper as inspiration to scrap these art photos

 

I enjoyed doing this one, but it took a long time to find just the right things to use.
