The Inspiration Board one stumped me at first, too, but once I figured out what I wanted to do, it turned out to be one of my favorite layouts.

I am actually all caught up so far this year - for the first time ever! Of course, it helped that we had four snow days in a row during the first week of January. School was canceled, and I was easily able to finish my layouts while snowed in at home. That momentum really helped!

It's stupid because it's the double page challenge. I actually like making double pagers, it's what I do half the time I'm scrapping! But I'm not in the mood currently... I'm sure I'll get over it soon though.

Thanks for all of the ideas...I think the color might be part of what is holding me back. I am color blind, so I can't easily find a kit or something that matches those colors, and I so badly want that as a starting point, LOL!

Can't remember if it was mentioned here but the palette colors are very close if not exactly this month's BYOC.

That was me last year. We had just come here from SO, so at least I had kits from those designers that made the move here. Still, it wasn't a lot of kits, so I kept using the same one over and over.

That's funny because I loved the Mood Board challenge. It's so open-ended that you can really do practically anything and find something on the mood board to tie it in with.

I'm decisive like that, though, and just go with my gut/intuition 90% of the time in scrapping and in life.

I also go into Toys 'R' Us the week before Christmas without any specific toys in mind (I've already bought those earlier in the season) and flesh out my kids' lists in abt 20 minutes or so by going up and down the aisles and grabbing what 'speaks' to me as something they might like... so maybe I'm the weird one. :giggle

Loving them all so far, but it's probably because challenges are what brought me really into the hobby anyway. Some I don't care for as much as others, but I'd say 90% of the time I still absolutely love my result when I'm done! Even self imposed challenges have helped expand my love of digi!

Finding the time is what is stumping me, too! Although, I've also if trouble with Day 6, figuring out how it will all go together. Guess I should look at the speed scrap instructions if I can figure out how to get to them. I'm seeing all these people posting today's layout (Day 18), and I'm about 7 behind!

I can honestly say I was stumped on the photo challenge because it had a time requirement...0800 or 2000. I did not want to take a picture from work or what I call my prison cell (my bunk) here in Kuwait. Just didn't want to scrap those. Had to wait till a Saturday to take a picture of something pretty.

Now I am stumped on the two pager AND tell a story through photos. I'm running out of good photos to use and there is not a lot of inspiration where I currently am. :banghead

Oh my gosh, that mood board was hard at first. Then I ended up doing 2 layouts for it because the scrap led me in another direction! The journaling has been my biggest hindrance, I just don't have anything else to say!!!

I was 6 behind last Wednesday. But now I'm only 1 behind (yesterday's)! I wrote down the basic idea, so I could think on what photos would work for the challenge while I did life. Then I batch processed. I pulled all the photos and put (a copy) on my desktop. That way, I wasn't as distracted when I sat down to scrap. I could pull the photos from the desktop, and grab the requirements. I don't know if that will work for you?

I hoped to give this one early enough (about 3 weeks before the deadline) to give everyone lots of opportunities for the time period. I'm glad you were able to grab a weekend photo!

I'm having a terrible time with the double page challenge. I've never done a double page before and between the fact that my Lily Pad stash isn't very large and all the reqirements (4 or more different paper patterns, 5 or more elements) I have to keep closing the page down and working on another challenge. I'm having a particularly difficult time with the 4 or more paper patterns part. I will be so happy when I finally finish this one. :)

Yeah the four pattern papers is tricky. Can you just use some papers as photo mats, or tabs or something underneath?
If it's not having enough have you checked the free products? https://the-lilypad.com/store/Free-Products/ There isn't a lot there but some printed papers and elements. You can always recolor if you need to. Hope that helps. If not send a PM to the hostess of the challenge and maybe she will have an idea.

I finally thought of doing that last night, but I really don't like the look of all those patters. I think I'm going to turn them into ribbons or tabs so I can make them as unobtrusive as possible. This double page is taking me longer to do than 3 challenges...sigh... :banghead

It is hard and challenging. Remember you can always alter it after the challenge. I know what you mean by double pages taking longer as well. I don't get it but it seems to be that way. But that's the "fun" of MOC is the challenges that make you pull your hair out. Good luck. And I remember my first year when I didn't have a lot of supplies. But I Know you can do it!!! And even those of us who have done MOC usually have at least one page that drives us crazy.

The double pager made me realize I don't push myself to use papers. One way to bring papers in is to do behind the photo matts. You can do more one, stacked, to the side. @Nightshadow

Well I was hoping someone else would have been stumped by the same one as me, but I guess I'm just a certain kind of special. The drop cap one, day 10. I can't even figure why I'm so stumped, it's just that absolutely nothing is coming to me. Isn't it ridiculous??

But I am having a BLAST and a half, and I'll get there I'm sure. Bravo to everyone else for working to overcome their scrapping blocks.
