EXACTLY!!!! I tell my hubby this all the time haha He remembers the days of me paperscrapping too, the dining table completely covered with bits and pieces for days or weeks on end and only a page or two to show for it when I finally packed everything away!! Plus that was prekids, no little hands grabbing at shiny things on the table!! Ive spent more than I planned haha BUT I only buy things on sale, so you know, I'm saving money!!! And I only tell my hubby how much it is US$... I don't tell him what it is in AU$
I use to budget, no, really I did. Then I thought, what $$ amt. are memories worth?? We almost lost one of our grand daughters this summer and I think back now, what if?? what if...I didnt have her books, what if...I didnt scrap, what if...I didnt need 14 pics a week of her and neglected to take any. If I like it, yip, I buy it. cant put a price on memories I am documenting. {{like I have said before, that is why I digital scrap vs paper, he doesn't have a clue and no mess anywhere}} lol When they are all grown up and I have no more pics to take, I will budget then and sit and look at my books.
omgosh that is so funny, do you know how many of those one's I kept? well cause..... why do we do that? I am going to work on getting rid of all of them.
I totally chuckled when I saw this thread and the first thing that popped into my head was "You can't ask that! That's like asking how OLD I am or how much I WEIGH!" Lol!
Almost $46! I wasn't going to spend anything! Just use all the kits I already have....I can see I'm not alone in that not working!
My sister asked me the other day if the amount of money I spend and the amount of money I get (as in coupons, gcs, ct stuff) is about equaled out by now. I didn't understand what she was asking me. I think that's about enough of an answer? I do have to say there are months that I didn't buy anything during SOSN because there was nothing I wanted/needed but with the new designers I need something every week. And then there are the new releases. I do try to keep a budget, but then I look at a kit and think "I easily spend $4 on snacks so why not spend it on this awesome kit that's on sale?". Which is good logic if only I would deduct the $4 to my snack budget to keep it leveled...
Is it strange if I get this Idea: Why not scan them and use them for your digiscrap? Yes, it is a bit of work, but you can cut the paper like a 100 times and never had to use a scissor!
$10 for 3 template kits to put together todays moc. I know better, but I just do it, and then I am sorry
I managed to do all the challenges and not buy a single thing from the store! I was so proud of myself except I had to keep making sure the supplies I was using were still available in the store. Luckily they were!!
I found I had to buy even more because of all the hard work that goes into MOC4 from designers, the polly-girls, admin,... (oh no wait... that could be one of my 100 excuses why to buy in TLP-shop in january... )
