mine for this one, even though my entry doesn't count - just playing for fun, i included the original and description of what i did in the gallery description. thanks for a super fun challenge Kim!
Sorry it took so long, had me stumped for a while, because I didn't know which of the 100 out of focus photos to pick. I ended up with this one, both are blured, but the background is actually the same photo taken a minute later ( from a car window) because the first didn't work out well, and then my niece pressed the accelerator...
I was trying to take quick pics before the mom and baby moved away from the glass and to get out of the way of the other zoo guests, and the glare from the glass and the color of my shirt are pretty obvious in the photos. So I changed the color to sepia, and zoomed in on the photos. You can still see it some, but it helped. Here's the before pics:
Imperfect photo: Imperfect photo: photo was out of focus, blurry. Converted the image to black and white simply by reducing the saturation (quality of the conversion wasn't considered because I knew I'd be blending it). Several blending modes were used to achieve the desired effect.
The pic of my daughter on the upper left - she is squinting because the light was in her eyes.. but I still thought she looked pretty - she didn't! The pic of my other daughter on the lower right - very grainy & blurry - but I loved it!
The original photo was a selfie taken with a digital camera that focused on the ferris wheel and not us. I ran it through some sharpening filters in RadLab.
This is my original photo: It is not a good one, but I love its atmosphere. So I've applied some adjustment layers and a Bokeh Applicator PS action by LucianaB to correct my original photo. And here is the page with the edited photo:
Here is mine. Loved the challenge. I decided to embrace the blurriness of this photo because I loved the moment I captured with me and my little guy.
Here is my page and the original picture. The original photo is out of focus and incorrectly exposed.
Some of these photos were slightly blury, so I ran a sharpening filter one them. But the other issue, is that it was just so cloudy that it was hard to get a good photo, but we tried anyways!
Thanks for this great challenge! So funny! This photo of my DD was out of focus due to a slight camera shake. Since the reason of this blur was the uncontrolable laugh we both had, I've chosen to use it in its glorious imperfection. So I've edited it with just an High Key effect in order to draw attention to my DD's eyes and smile.
this is one I found hidden on my ipad... the girls obviously just a wee bit at loose ends between ends at an archery competition... had a bit of my head in it... some of my arm is still there, way over exposed not exactly in focus but it makes me smile every single time I look at it.
My aunt was blurry in the photo on the left, but it captured a great moment between her and my daughter, and I wanted to be sure to include it. Reducing the size of the photo made it so that it is not as noticeable.
Embracing Imperfection (aka big brothers)....as soon as I saw this challenge I knew which picture I would scrap! LOL
The lighting was not good for these pictures, he was in a shadow, but he needed to be on the hill to do his tricks. Embracing imperfection.
Here's mine. the photo was so weird because of where Bella was sitting in relation to the light. I B/W'd it and tweaked it
