January 3: Text Spacing (Technique Challenge)

Here is my page. I used leading to get the text to fit perfectly between the chain and the edge of the tree shape

 

Just jumping in here and there. Can't do all of them this year

 

I played with leading in the journaling. I love this technique!

 

I learned a lot from this challenge! Even though I change leading often, I have never thought to use it for journal lines. Usually I only change it because my text lines overlap. So here I changed the tracking in the journaling and the vert/ horiz spacing in the title.

I played around with leading and tracking for this journaling block:

 

I had to fix the leading on this font.

 

I adjusted the leading and vertical scale in the journaling text.

 

I adjusted the text tracking from 0 to 200

 

I changed the leading to 18pt to make the journalling line up with the lines on the washi tape.

 

I discovered leading by accident one day and have been using it ever since, but I didn't know about the other 3! You always have the best tutorials!

Used Leading to make journaling fit on stripes and Tracking on a few of the lines on both journal cards to make the text fit. LOVED using these techniques, Karen! I see myself using them A LOT!
