Hello September! Can you believe the year is already 2/3 over?!?! Crazy!!!

So do you have any goals for the last 1/3 of the year? Things you want to accomplish? Or do you have any goals for September in particular? Do you have a Fall bucket list (for those in the northern hemisphere)? Are you in the throes of back-to-school activities? Any special time set aside for yourself in the upcoming months?

    So what about you??

I recently made a page. My fall goal is to complete my C25k app, and be more health concious. Scrapping more, keeping up my CT duties, supporting my husband as he starts a math class. :)

I just want to keep (or maybe get back?) my sanity. Work is pushing me to my limit. Along that line, I'd love to gain back some scrap and me/family time.

Hoping to lose some weight and having more scrappy time. Three of my five kids went back to school so things are starting to settle a little around here, thankfully.

I have 2 things in mind for the fall. First, I just started a 30-day fitness challenge (basically, moving every single day) and putting aside social media in order to have more time for reading and scrapping. Facebook/Instagram is such a time suck!

I do that, too . . . the consciously choosing to support my husband. It sounds so subservient, but honestly, when I support him and help him, he really returns it one hundred fold to me. Well worth it!

I hope you find just the right balance, especially for carving out time for you and your family!

Just gotta say, you are so gorgeous, if you lost weight I'd really have to hate you. LOL Seriously, though, good luck. Having them back in school really does help with fitness.

It **is** such a time suck, but one that I'm so weak about!

My goal: to be pain free or have limited pain. I have two procedures coming up that will basically scar the nerves in my back to disrupt the pain signals they are sending to my brain. If this works as well as the doctor thinks it will, I could actually do basic tasks without pain AND it's the first time I've ever been excited about walking around the block. Ha!

If I accomplish anything else, then that's all gravy, baby!

My goal this last part of the year is to completely transition our house for sale. We are in that whole empty nest area with all 3 kids gone and need to sell this albatros of a house. Part of me says no rush and the other half do it already! Ack!
It will get done and it will be a good thing. ::hits repeat to calm herself::

This year I'm faced with retire or keep working. I think we can afford retirement, but I took a year off a few years ago and was bored to death after painting all the rooms in the house, building a great vegetable garden and reading every book I could get my hands on - all of which took less than the year. In theory it sounds simple, just retire, have no one to answer to, but for a total type A - honestly when you get here - it scary... I don't think I'm so old, I still feel I have a lot to contribute, what to do, what to do...:groan

You ladies are all so inspiring. Good luck with that procedure, Cheryl. I know how horrible chronic pain is. Ick.

    Kristina... what is the C25K?

Lindzee... I'm so jealous. I have to go back to work so I can figure out if I'll ever be able to retire. :giggle There are so many awesome things to do when you have the time. I'm sure you would figure out a lot of cool things to try or share.

I love the Fall. Technically, it isn't Fall yet, but I'm inspired.

I'm using September as a kick-start to get back into action and for some of my goals since Kennedy will be in full-day kindergarten in a couple of weeks. I'm starting my gratitude journal back up (I bought a cute little notebook that goes through the rest of the year). And I signed up for an online painting workshop that starts this month. I'm trying to "bullet journal" so I can try to get organized. I got the meal planning underway for the rest of the year. I'm trying to purge things in the house before the end of the year. And I'm going to work on my resume. [ugh.] I'm getting excited for Novel-in-a-day (October) and National Novel Writing Month (November). And finish my year with at least 52 books read. We'll see how far I get with those. LOL.

Mmmm, warmer weather (although raining here today, have to appreciate rain while we have it, summer will be dry), getting over the flu that has swept our house, spring clean the house and get outdoors a bit more. Read some books, lose some weight, do lots of crochet - still learning.

But really just looking forward to warmer weather...

I'm a teacher (middle/high school special education) so one of my work related goals is to keep organized.
I want to really decorate my home for the seasons and holidays! Like every year I buy all this stuff and only half of it gets used, that's gotta change! I already started my Halloween wreath. ;)
I want to say another goal is to finish the album of my Disney trip last month. But that's not realistic. But I have to at least write all journaling and scrap at least 2 pages a week.
I also plan on getting a bit more settled here and do some more chats and funsies! I like this place so much!

And yes I need to keep going to the gym 2-3 times a week. And back in my healthy routine. But those aren't fun.

Yeah, it's actually re-herniated (I had surgery when I was 21) and I also have bulges, arthritis and spinal stenosis. I'm not really have surgery/operation . . . it's a procedure where they insert a needle to the medial branch nerves and scar them, disrupting the pain signal. They did a test to see if it would work, by inserting anesthetic over the area and I got pain relief, so we'll see what happens when they do the neurotomy this coming Wednesday!

I know you've struggled for a long time as well. It's so hard especially when I don't look like there's anything wrong (other than my expressions sometimes). But when I went to the doctor, I was amazed to see so many other people just like me. I would never had thought they had any problems at all just by looking at them, but there was a huge difference in their faces when they were in the waiting room to go back and then when they were discharged.

C25k is an app. Couch-to-5K program for beginning runners. I've attempted/started this app about 3 times. My last run was 2 weeks ago now, so I'll back track a little bit, but I'm at the furthest I've ever made it.... in the 3rd week. :) (when I restart, I'll probably do week 2 over again)

It basically teaches you to run in increments. The first week is like walk 90 seconds, jog 30 seconds, repeat this for 20 minutes. 2nd week changed: jog 60 seconds, walk 60 seconds. 3rd week was crazy, lol. Walk 30 seconds jog 3 minutes. Or something. It was hard.

I have been doing this while pushing the double stroller, because I can jog the kids to day care and run back home as my exercise, but not feel like I'm losing my "me time" before i log in to work for the day. (exercise does NOT feel like "me time" to me!)

My goals for the month/year...Lets see. Number 1 has to be to finally get my disability case settled and have some type of an income coming in. That would make my life so much easier. 2nd would be to find some relief from the therapy they are starting on my back. Praying it makes me feel better and not worse. 3rd Really depends on #1 coming true and that is to finally get my finances back on track and be able to enjoy life again. 4th to lose some weight since i have put on so much since i was injured. I could keep going on and on I am sure. LOL

Oh, I have way too much that HAS to be accomplished in the next couple of months let alone anything I MIGHT want to accomplish!

I am starting a new job this Tuesday which means finding & putting the kids into daycare (for the first time ever). My husband has a job, but needs to find a less physically demanding & better paying one. We need to find a place to live. We need to buy a plane ticket for my SS to come visit next month. I need to get back on track with my exercise & eating regimen so I can lose the weight I promised myself I would before Christmas. We need to buy furniture (we literally don't have one piece of furniture post-move!) once we get a place to live. We need to upgrade our phones (mine is cracked in so many places it's not even funny). It goes on and on and on...

I've barely scrapped this year so I am trying to keep up with my notes, but since losing my camera (which did make it across the country but hasn't been seen in a month), it makes it hard to keep up with picture taking. I'd love to get caught up a little on that, but who knows when or if that will happen this year?!

Sorry to hear you've been living with pain. I hope the procedures work for you!

    Yay, Jennifer! That's exciting!

Awesome, Kristina! I ran a 5k in May - my first. And it really was a rewarding experience. You can do it!

I'm not exactly sure what my goals are for the rest of the year. My DH and I hit a financial bump in the road recently and we have some work to do either really cutting back on our budget, or considering a job for me. If I could find something part time during the school day that would be ideal, but I really want to be here for my girls when they get home. Just praying for some wisdom/direction.
