Don't worry- no spoilers, but..... be excited, be very very excited for the new season of Downton Abbey. It started last night here in England and it was brilliant. I finally managed to get my daughter away from the bad companies and she is staying home (also because I was very unwell last week) and we ve' been watching some TV and movies, nad Downton last night was amazing. There are a couple of Broadway casts here in London performing in the West End, and one of the guys was posting false spoilers that were hllarious, anyway, I heard they are closing down Dexter? what a shame, loved the guy!!!
I wish they would show Downtown Abbey at the same time here! I found out about the last season finale and it really ruined the season for me. Dexter's finale was last night - I was pretty disappointed in how it ended. But I think the show hasn't been so as good the last few seasons as say it was during the Trinity season.
ohh yes, I head that about Dexter... I'm watching a few season behind even what they are showing here as I was very ill and lost track, started watching on my TV cable on demand as I have it free. I know what you mean about them showing at different times, it happens to us with Greys Anatomy.... Don't worry, promise not to post any spoilers, I was just so excited that we almost missed it starting again but didn't... because I was very unwell and my daughter was hanging with the wrong companies, we had not sit at the tele for months..... started two weeks ago as the X Factor started here and we love the auditions....and last week we saw the advert for Downton starting last night...I know some of you here watch it so I wanted to share the excitement ! promise, no spoilers!!!!
Oh my goodness... I saw on Yahoo today that Downton started last night and I freaked out thinking that I missed it. Then I realized that it's only for you guys in the UK and that I still have to wait until January. That's just mean! I can't wait to see it though!
do you know i have to shamefully admit i live in the uk and have NEVER seen an episode of this, maybe i should go get the first series and see what the fuss is about but then if i do that it may cut into my scrapping time
if I was you, Karen, I would watch. Is finely put together, the period accuracy is very good, and the cast is extremely talented... You can watch on Netflix, even ITV Player may have the first seasons, not sure if they would be free by now....but in my opinion? well worth it.
I am a latecomer to Downton too, but I watched the first two series back to back over the summer and I am hooked! Its a running joke in my house that I always cry during it (after I sobbed like a baby at a couple of different plot lines) and I managed to make it almost all the way through before I cried in this new episode! (Don't worry, nothing horrible happens - I am just a big old softie!)
Well that's not fair either! I will be careful not to spoil Grey's for you then! BBC America has got it right. They show Doctor Who on the same day here. I think I would go crazy if I had to wait for those to air!
I'm still so angry about Matthew. The only way I will watch this next season is if we find out that it wasn't really Matthew in the car- it was his evil twin. Or if Sybil comes back as a ghost and haunts Downton. Otherwise I'm out...
LOL Nisa!!!!!!!!!!! my daughter said something along the lines....but then I explained her why they had to kill Mathew...and she decided to have a go at this series...and we did not regret having made the effort! Robin: thanks my lovely!!!!!!!!!! <3
