Hi! I've been having a problem today with the store. After I log in and it automatically shows me things I had forgotten about in my cart. I click "clear cart" and it give me a 500 error:

    "Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving https://the-lilypad.com/store/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request."

It happened around 10am (Central) and has been doing it since about 7:45-8pm tonight. I've tried restarting Chrome and clearing my cache and still can't, as of 8:30, get into the store at all.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Sandy, do you happen to have another browser you could try?

I'm stubborn (and love my Chrome too much) so I tried Chrome again this morning, I was able to see the store rather than an error screen, I deleted the old cart items one at a time rather than clear cart and it worked till it was time to process the total (with a ct coupon for payment) instead going to the processed screen with the downloads I got this:

I got the downloads links from my email and copy and pasted them into Chrome but I can't get past the error message again.

So I opened IE and was able to copy and paste the emailed link to get the download. Then I tried another ct purchase. When I logged in it had my last completed purchase still in the cart, I deleted it (not risking clear cart again) and found a new product, paid with a ct coupon again and when it went to processing screen/completed screen I got this:

    https://the-lilypad.com/store/cart.php?mode=order_message&orderids=416836

I tried to copy and paste the download link from email from the 2nd order, like I did the first, but I get another 500 error. (same message as above) in both Chrome and IE.

I will wait a few hours and try the emailed download link again. That seems to be the trick to making it work, for now. I have what I need for this week's new release, and I'm not upset at all. These things happen.
I just thought you all might want to know there's a problem in there somewhere, lucky me seems to be the one to trip it. :whistle

thanks for passing the info along - we will definitely look into it. chrome gives TLP fits for some reason.

what ISP do you use (it could be an ISP config issue if it happens in IE too)? sometimes ISP reconfigure setting that lead to the necessity of router reset - have you done that in the recent past? have you shut down, unplugged for ~30 seconds and then restarted your router and done the same for your system? every once in a while that is the cause.

if you need an order reset for some reason, in the mean time, please let me know (PM on here is fine).

I've been encountering the same problem for a few months, since even before the upgrade. With Chrome, IE & Firefox. If I clear the cache, sometimes it works but only for that one time. I'd really like to get back to shopping again so hope this issue does get fixed soon.

Having the same problem in IE and Chrome today. I mistakenly cleared my cart (in Chrome) before starting so I'm sure that didn't help.

I'll try restarting the router, now I'll let you know if that helps any.

I was able to get to my orders history in IE after rebooting the router. But still no TLP store in Chrome.

So strange. I have tested repeatedly in Chrome and all is fine on this end. There must be some router/ISP/local settings that are causing headaches for just a select few. Sometimes firewall settings or even antivirus settings can block access. Let me ponder and research some more.

This is what happens to me too! And I can't checkout on a new order either without getting the message.

I should know what the ISP thing is but I forgot to check with my Hubs about what that is etc, as I said earlier, last time I reset my router and cleared my cache but I had the same problem in Chrome, so somewhere in all of this is the answer but I just gave it a shot this morning.

Good news!!!! Somehow I got it to work this morning!! I don't know what was of all the things done on both ends of this are what made it work, but I did run CC Cleaner just a couple days ago and maybe that was enough for the things you've done to come through?

For anyone else having the same problem the other changes to my usual browsing purchasing routine were: (luckily this time) my last purchase didn't stay in my cart, so I didn't have clear out anything which usually in both Chrome and IE is when everything disappears. And I signed in from the product page, not the pop up cart page or while looking at my cart.

I'm betting the CC Cleaner cleaning out the cookies and etc was the biggest difference in addition to the work you all have done on your side.

Thank you for your help!! Crossing my fingers this is the last time I have to ask for it on this matter.

    Thank you!!!

Awesome news, sandy! Sometimes a really deep scrub of your system will really help - glad it did!!!

Are you logged in to the store, mummyD? What browser are you using?

I'm having the same issue as MummyD in Chrome...I had to go use the newsletter link to see what is in the SOSN today. It lists the designers and it says categories, but there's no links under it.

They aren't in IE either and clearing my cache didn't bring them back.

I'd already made a new post about the categories being gone before I saw this thread. I am checked into the store. I'm on my iPad so I'm on safari and not my usual Firefox program.
