    Hey everyone,
I know there’s been a mix of reactions to the new store—some of it excited, some uncertain, and some of it sounding frustrated. I hear it. I’ve taken it all in. And rather than respond to each thread separately, I wanted to pause and speak from the heart about why this change happened, what’s still in motion, and how I’m approaching the feedback coming in.

This wasn’t an upgrade for convenience. It was a rebuild for survival. The old store was breaking behind the scenes—and it was only a matter of time before something major went down permanently. I carried that quietly for as long as I could, but it reached a point where waiting any longer simply wasn’t an option.

This new site gives us a stronger, more secure home. It’s still growing into itself, and we’re continuing to refine it based on how you use it. That’s part of the process—and your feedback is welcome. If you see something that’s broken or truly confusing, please post in this thread--it also has some tips to help with finding things:

    How Suggestions Are Handled

I welcome your feedback, and if I can incorporate a fix or suggestion, I will absolutely try to. Just know that there’s a lot that goes into my thought process—it’s never a knee-jerk yes or no.

Every change has to be weighed: how it fits into the bigger picture, whether it conflicts with other features, and what kind of ripple effect it might have down the road. A small adjustment in one area can unintentionally break something else.

I wish I could say it’s all simple—but building a stable, functional platform takes care and strategy. In some cases, there are real development costs to consider as well. So while not every idea will move forward, every one is taken seriously.

    What Hasn’t Changed
The heart of this community is still the same. You’ll still find the designers you know and love, the products that inspire you, and the creative space we’ve built together over the years.

The layout might feel different for a little while—but what’s underneath it hasn’t changed: a shared love of storytelling, memory-keeping, and creativity. That’s what we’re protecting by building a more stable, long-term home.

Thanks for walking this transition with me. The fresh paint smell will fade soon; the foundation we’re building should last for years.

Change can be difficult, even when it's for the better. We appreciate all your hard work, Esther, and for being so open about what goes on behind the scenes! The future and stability of this space are so important!

It only took me crediting and linking for one layout this morning to learn my way around the store and get comfortable with it. Of course, my layout had like ten different products on it!

I’m so grateful for the energy you’re putting into our digiscrap home Esther, and the Pollywogs too! :yourock

It's a fun new look and I appreciate going to the trouble of re-building would have been a decision taken lightly because of all of the work and testing involved (we're going through something similar with a major system I use at work and I'm an end user tester, so I know all the ways even a little change can impact on other things down the line that were in no way meant to happen!). I appreciate you being open to user suggestions.

Thank you for being so transparent through this whole process. I can’t imagine what it must be like on the tech side of this. I am really liking the changes so far and look forward to what all still awaits. I have called this place home for a very looooonnnggg time. First as a community member then for years as a Polly, now back to a community member. I have seen 2 other owners run this ship, designers come and go and then thankfully come back home (still waiting on a few:whistle) but through it all I have seen the heart of this community thrive. I have been involved in community and on creative teams for many sites (some that have sadly had to close their doors, some still chugging along) I can honestly say though that this is the most wonderful place I have ever been a part of community wise and behind the scenes. I can’t thank you enough for keeping the dream alive and taking the reins here. I am cheering you on and wishing so much success! You are doing a great job so far!

Thank you for all you do and for being clear on how things are doing now and for the future. I am excited for the new store even though I am still trying to get use to the new system but we will get there, I will get there lol!

i can't imagine the balancing act it takes to get it all functioning and functional. Worth saying again that i appreciate everything that goes in to this balancing act and your transparency about the process and how much you've sacrificed to get it to this point so quickly!

No one likes change, but I appreciate that the paint smell will fade and the foundations are strong.
Thanks for all you do for us behind the scenes and also for keeping us in the loop.

Thank you again for everything Esther. I will be honest, I am enjoying the exploring.. it is like a hike through the woods at Summer Camp... exploring and seeing all the new goodies or even how to navigate. I am thankful to you for keeping us all in the loop letting us know every step of the way, and for being transparent. That means more than you know! Loving the new home page with things right there to showcase what is going on. I love the new digs and am thrilled to be a part of this exciting community! Big hugs and thank you for all you do!

Hats off to you @Esther Wisdom for taking on this amazingly HUGE task...much appreciated from the user side where we don't always see the nitty gritty details. Keep up the good work. I like the new look and feel of the store... very sophisticated. Yes it might take awhile to figure stuff out, but I am sure we will soon be sailing along.

I can't even imagine how much work you have to do behind the scenes! Thank you so much for being so open with all of us. Change is definitely scary and frustrating at times...but if everyone is open about it, it will be so much smoother!! And what matters most is that the heart of the Lilypad is still beating under it all!! :heartlub

Dear Esther, you are appreciated beyond the scope of what words can express! If it wasn't for you rescuing TLP, it would be in the digi-graveyard. We all recognize this and we owe you a lot! Thanks a million times over!

I was thinking the same thing. It’s fun and refreshing to poke around. I spent a fair amount of time browsing the old store and as soon as the new store came online, I saw a bunch of products I’d never seen or noticed before!

Thank you so much for all the work and I appreciate the open en honest communication. Rebuilding a site/store that has been going for a long time is a huge and scary job. And so much of the work remains invisible.
So far I'm having a great time browsing the new store and finding my way around again.

Where do I find my orders from the old store. I have lost one and would like to download it again. Just purchased in May.
