June is here! Can you believe we are halfway through 2025?! And we are back in business with our regularly scheduled challenge programming, hooray! I'm bringing you this months journaling challenge. Admittedly, journaling isn't my strong suit. When I'm not exactly sure what to say, I start by making a list - and sometimes I don't make it past the list. So that's the challenge for this month, your journaling should be in the form of a list. Your list should include at least four different things. Some ideas could include a list of places you stopped on a trip, a list of favorites or things you are currently into, a list of things you love about someone, a to-do list, etc. Your list can be full sentences, or just words & phrases. Here is my layout, my journaling is a list of things we ate at Disneyland: I used the Project Mouse (Boardwalk): Bundle by Britt-ish Designs and Sahlin Studio. Now it's your turn! I'm excited to see your layouts & your lists. Gentle reminder: please remember our monthly challenge rules. Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the June Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. (Please use the share BB IMG code found on the right side of the gallery). The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
I wrote this list in my journal while I was on a walk last month, inspired by the podcast I was listening to, which is about walking and was talking about gratitude. So I wrote down ten things I was grateful for on my walk. I copied and pasted it onto my page. 1. My vision is still good enough I can choose to go on my walk without my glasses. 2. This cushion-y corner cover covered in gravel. 3. My plantar fasciitis is nearly gone. 4. seeing other people on my walks, sometimes exchanging friendly greetings 5. Robert likes to walk too. I read an old journal entry a few days ago, actually an email from Robert in our first year together, and was reminded he took walks just to get out and think long before I ever thought of walking for anything other than getting from Point A to Point B. 6. I can journal while walking, as I’m doing right now. 7. podcasts 8. earbuds 9. my Mom’s horse sweatshirt I’m wearing right now, grateful for its lack of hood (I don’t have a nice hood-less sweatshirt) 10. sunrise light twinkling through leaf-filled trees By the way, there is a dogwood in my photo.
