Scary ticket prices is right! I’m just hoping we don’t end up with unexpected expenses too.

That’s definitely a long flight. I’m sorry the last few hours were brutal. My longest flight was 8 hours.

I have only done one flight longer than 4 hours so I’d probably feel different about a super long flight too.

I loved seeing the pools when I flew when I was little too! Twinners!

I’m sorry it hurts you & messes with your vertigo - that sounds like the worst combination ever!

Thanks Karen! I think you’ve convinced me to take the meds just in case. Better safe than sorry!

You are quite the frequent flyer now Kayla! Bonine is what I bought because it works for my dad so I’m hoping it works for me too. I also like ginger ale so I’ll keep that in mind as a back up.

I’m sorry about your last international flight! That’s a rough 13 hours! I hope you are able to go back to the Dry Tortugas with your camera.

I’m impressed you wouldn’t mind a 24 hour flight! That sounds waaaaaay too long for me.

I don't mind it too much. I don't get anxious about it but I do find it uncomfortable, and I'm not a huge person! I'm only 5'3", I always feel for people like my husband over six feet tall having to sit in such a small space for a the whole trip. It's not too bad on a short flight, but I've had some red eyes and some long ones (14 hours!) and those are rough.

Right now I would say Germany (& Switzerland)! A friend of mine moved there about a year ago and I would love to go visit her and see the sights.

I love flying. From Cape Town though every where is so very far.
Flying will be to the kids and the new grandbaby coming soon. No where else I'd rather be.

How do you feel about flying on an airplane? I absolutely hate it now, but I was such a fan in my teens, 20s, 30s, and 40s. The last time I flew was to my daughter's wedding, and all the extra fees for every little thing, then the airline rescheduling out of the blue, messing up connections, and having to spend 7 hours at SFO overnight (right before I found out I did indeed have Covid), did me in in. I am probably not going to fly anymore, because it's just not a pleasant experience between the people and the processes.

If you could fly anywhere where would you go? Probably arrange to have all my kids meet me somewhere for a vacation...maybe Disney World. But again, not going to happen.

How do you feel about flying on an airplane? It depends on why I'm flying and how long the flight is, lol ;) I'm less excited about work travel (especially 6+ hour bi-coastal flights).
If you could fly anywhere where would you go? I have a long list!

I hope you trip goes smoothly Monica :heartlub

There are way too many variables to worry about! I’m driving DH crazy trying to plan for everything and not knowing what I’m doing.

We’re flying into San Diego too but a different day. I hope it all goes well for you!

Yeah I’m not excited to be super early either and afraid I’ll have packed something that I’m not supposed to take. I’m glad we’re not flying into Newark either.

I thought I wanted to go to Australia until I heard about their giant bugs lol

The changes are definitely what concern me because I’m afraid I’m doing everything wrong and going to forget something. I hope your plans work out for the tour! Sounds exciting!

That’s nice you have it down to a science. I’m a newbie so it’s rough. Your snack sounds absolutely amazing! Argentina to Antarctica does too!
