Do you have specific chores you do? Do you have a schedule or just do them as needed or ... like me ... sometimes let things slide a little too long?

I have an app for my chores that I avoid most of the time. :agree

I get the "must do" done: dishes, cooking, keeping the kitchen decent, laundry and the litter boxes. Other things I tend to ignore far too long. At least I can blame it on my ADHD.

What has helped me a lot is the organisation I've made. It took a while, and it's a work in progress, but having a designated place for everything really helps. Also, I try to live by the 20 second rule: if you see something that needs to be done, and it takes 20 seconds or less, do it now! It works most of the time.

I don't really have a set list of things, I just do them when they start to get too much of my attention . .. except for I vacuum pretty much everyday because of the cat litter gets tracked everywhere (that dyson with the led light shows it up so well), I scoop the litter box everyday. Dishes get done up mostly everyday, but sometimes I let a few sit in the sink because I haven't yet emptied the dishwasher. Sunday is getting all the trash and recycles out for Monday morning pickup. Anything else gets done much more ad hoc.

I don't have a plan of any kind. We usually clean when we have people coming over or it gets bad enough to make us motivated. :giggle I have SO many other things I'd rather do with my time. The only room of the house that I really prefer is cleaned on the regular is my kitchen. I don't like dishes in the sink or messes on my counters. I get really annoyed when I have to clean before I can cook, so I do a pretty good job of cleaning up after I cook. Usually. :giggle

I usually keep a tidy house, but right now it's a mess! We are moving into our new home and I've got boxes and boxes everywhere until I can get it all unloaded and put away... wish me luck! :agree

There's only 2 of us, so we try not to make a mess. I do, however, have a couple of ladies that come once a month to do the heavy cleaning.

My chores are mainly laundry and vacuuming. DH washes dishes and cooks. DS cleans toilets. DD cleans the kitchen. Everything else gets ignored lol

I keep the house relatively tidy (well, except for the office) all the time. After cooking, dishes go in the dishwasher. I have a laundry chute so when there is dirty laundry, it goes down the chute to the basement. I do the laundry as needed. I squeegee the glass doors in the shower and wipe down the walls after every shower. I do take care of any messes that happen right away.

I have a cleaning lady that comes in once a month to dust, clean the bathroom, sweep and mop the floors aka the stuff that causes backaches and allergy issues and takes me several days to do. She gets it done in 3 hours. If I notice that there are dust bunnies, I will dust mop and I try to run the iRobot the day before she comes.

The only room she doesn't clean is the office. I spread it out over several days because of the allergy issues... I'm highly allergic to house dust and have to wear a mask when I dust the furniture.

I do laundry on a weekly basis. I wish I was someone who enjoyed housecleaning, but I truly loathe it! I am fortunate to have a bi-weekly housecleaning service, so we declutter around that schedule.

Found this layout when I was looking through my gallery now that it's @ninigoesdigi 's LOD day - thought it was a good idea to share it here!

I am not a fan of housework. We clean when we have company coming over. Every day though, dh loads the dishwasher and washes anything that doesn't fit and I unload the dishwasher and put everything away. Our counters seem to collect clutter, so decluttering once every couple weeks is essential. The boys each have responsibility to keep their bathrooms clean and I tidy the master bedroom bathroom. One thing that I am always picking up is shoes. My boys have shoes everywhere and just this fall dh put together shoe racks and spread them around the house and I am constantly putting shoes on those racks, lol!

Dislike housework, but I get it done, because I also don't like a mess. Not that it's very messy...but to get the dust out and get things in order as much as I can. I don't mind kitchen chores to much depending on the day! I try to get it all done during the week, so the weekend is chore free as much as possible.

Ugh housework. That's what I've been doing all day. So much laundry. I try to pick up a little every day, but somehow by the end of the week everything is a disaster. I do try to make sure all the dishes are done and the kitchen is clean before I go to bed.

    House cleaner for deep cleaning.
Dishes / laundry / cats as needed. We have it divided up loosely; I do all the cooking and my husband does the does the dishes after, and I put them away so everything is where I want it.

The housework is piling up. Sicknesses last week meant more chaos here & now the sun finally being out means out more...so more housework piling up. I'm in the where it is causing me to hit my "overwhelmed/overstimulated" zone even though I know it wouldn't take me long at all to get it in order.

Laundry will always be my nemesis though. I can wash/dry but that folding stage kills me. Laundry mountain reigns here.
