I know I'd love it. I was at the DMV the other day and didn't bring a book with me. I thought about it that if I had a Kindle, I could have it with me at all times (I guess if I remembered to put it in my handbag everyday). I bought Eric a Kindle for Christmas and he loves his. He has it with him everywhere. He even takes it to work with him so he can sit and read on his lunch break. I don't think it's a gift any of my other boys would've loved though. My dh wants one too, so we may just each get one soon!
I started with a Kindle and then switched to an iPad. I love that I can use it for Kindle, Nook and iBooks.
while you've got me curious, i'm thinking this might not be the best time for me to pick up a highly addictive series. might just forget to something major important in the whole moving process... but after we get settled i may revisit this.
oh, AND i'm still debating on the kindle... i feel like i'm abandoning paper books, and there's something sad about that.
Rebecca...that was part of what too me so long. I LOOOOVE books! I love the smell of them and the feel of them. they are just awesome! I am glad I got a Nook though. It's sooo easy to use and really is so much lighter and easier to take places. I love that and I am not getting rid of my book collection yet!
Rebecca, yes - you better wait, otherwise, you won't unpack until you've ready them all. LOL I thought I would be very sad to give up paper books...the feel, the smell, stacking them on shelves. I can honestly say I don't miss them.
ok so I had an epiphanie this evening and I kind of like Joe Manganiello for Barrons as well. I love Gerard..but he's in his 40's which is a bit too old for Barrons and I think Joe is the perfect age and this pic screams Barrons. lol! I cant find his height though..if he was short that would be a no go lol
LOL - I noticed it's in the Juvenile Fiction section of our library. I didn't get it because that kind of turned me off BUT since it's getting such good reviews, I'll just get it after I finish the couple I have now.
There is absolutely NO way it is juvenile fiction. It's *very* adult. I would actually tell your library to re-classify it. I would be horrified if my young adult read it. It would be..umm...quite the education.
Ok, so how old is Barrons supposed to look in the book? In my mind I have him pictured in his late 30's or early 40's, and he doesn't look anything like the pictures you have posted...although your choices are all super hot, don't get me wrong...I think it is so interesting to see how we depict the characters in our minds, and how they differ. I need to find a picture to match what I have in my mind.
Ok, I have been checking out the pics again, and I really like that last one. I think he definitely would work.
You guys are too funny! Now I will have a preconceived idea of what he looks like when I start to read it. LOL
