Finally finished my LO. LOL. 1 arrow pointing with Tampa Bay Rays, x for Buccaneers, star for Tampa Bay Lightning, arrow pointing to a heart on Florida Map for Orlando, wooden arrow sign with "beach" on it pointing towards beach photo Here's my journaling (196 words) I live in the Tampa Bay Area. Never, in a million years did I think that this where I’d end up calling home. It wasn’t because I didn’t like it, I just never really considered it. I grew up in rural Missouri and just figured I’d end living somewhere close enough to enjoy the beauty of rural Missouri, but have the convenience of convenience (crafting supplies, mall, shoe shopping, great food options and easy access to an airport for travel). Here I am, and almost 18 years in the Bay Area! What isn’t there to love? I have Disney World about an hour away. As well as Universal Studio & Sea World. I have access to 2 ports for cruising. The Caribbean Islands are only a couple of hours away by air. I have access to the beach within 45 minutes to an hour. It’s sunny most of the year and I even get to enjoy the excitement of hurricanes. North of me is tubing the springs and swimming with the manatees. Lots of craft stores within reasonable distance and let’s not forget all the great food options in South Tampa. I love my Florida Life!
Thanks for this challenge! I truly love where we live and this made me smile! 1 or more pics: I used 8! More than 5 Travel Elements: Place locater icon, Bike, Scenic route sign, globe, highway tape, car icon Journaling Reads (107 words): Welcome to Denver! We LOVE living here. Each year we have 300+ days of sunshine and are 20 minutes drive from some of the most beautiful views in the world. Downtown features all of the perks of a major city--sports, music, and the arts while the northern suburbs where are house is still have that great smaller city vibe. There is ALWAYS something to do and we never have to travel to far to find a great adventure! We love the craft beer scene and our sports teams too! Best of all? Our families and friends all stay here making it home to our hearts and souls! -Journaled Jan 2022
My daughter painted this wooden Texas-Union Jack for me as my 2013 Christmas present. It's still one of my all-time favorite gifts. My 5 elements: 2 geotags, world map, state cutout, globe charm. Thanks for the challenge, Jenn!

I could spend all afternoon reading about where everyone lives. I love it. Here's mine. At least 5 elements: compass, map paper, map marker, 2 arrows, map flower... 117 words of journaling: The number one thing I love about living in WNC is that we are minutes away from hikes and waterfalls like this one. It’s called High Falls. Two of my favorite events in Franklin are our “world-famous” pumpkin roll (at least I saw it advertised with that quote) and our agricultural fair. At the pumpkin roll, you get to roll a pumpkin down the big hill in town and watch it smash to pieces, possibly hit someone, or if it goes the farthest you could win $100! I also love the fair because my kids always have something on display and it’s fun to walk around and see it and run into friends from around town.
journaling (119 words) The Paper Discovery Center has always been one our favorite locations in our city. We used to go when Jake was in Kindergarten to their homeschool program. Every year I would contact them asking if they were going to have the program again. About five years ago, they had it posted on their website, but when I contact them they said their website was really out of date. Well, Dave does web work... he volunteered to help... then he was asked to fix their printers... and then put in a point of sales program... and then join the board until three years ago he became the chair! haha This past summer Jake became a junior docent, which he LOVES! Location elements - Compass, star, geomarker, arrow, map documented element, stop sign, Wisconsin state
7 location aspects: Map paper, Globe doodle, State cut-out, Storm map, Geotag, Car and Anchor buttons Journal: (162 words) Having lived in the AZ desert for 20 years, I find our new environment in the Pacific Northwest to be so refreshing. Yes, I truly enjoy the fog, rain and mist! In the short time that we've been living in Washington, we have experienced record rainfall of 8+ inches during the Atmospheric River in November and dealt with power outages, washed-out roads and residents on parts of the island left stranded. At the Christmas holiday, we received an unusual amount (three) back-to-back snowstorms that left roads slick with ice and packed snow. To wrap up the unusual weather we were issued a Tsunami warning over the weekend. Thankfully, the island is very well positioned so that we would be isolated from damaging waves, not to mention our homes are at higher elevations. Thankfully, our marinas only experienced a 6-inch swell! In spite of the anomalies, we are so excited to experience different weather patterns and be able to enjoy the temperate climate.
Here is mine - 2 stamps, grunge skyline, arrow flair, globe flair, arrow, camera and binoculars 150 words: Chicago is definitely my kind of town! Chicago is birthplace of the modern skyscraper so what a great place to be an architect. The best place to see the change over time is the lakefront. We were so lucky to get out on the lakefront with Baby on the boat when Rick & Michelle, Ian & Colin were in town. Of course, Alex didn’t want to miss out on the fun! From Monroe Harbor we went by the Shedd Aquarium, Planetarium and the Field Museum. Looking to the left and right of Navy Pier – you can see 3 of the tallest buildings in the world – The John Hancock, Trump Tower and Sears Tower. But we also have the first high rises: the Reliance Building, the Monadnock Building and some many beautiful turn of the century homes in the Gold Coast. I am lucky to live in such an inspiring place.
I have to say I've loved learning about where everyone calls "home" - truly has been so enjoyable reading everyones journaling
