Lo about our December trip to Disney world MOC 7 - Jan 30 - Travel Journaling by Jems posted Feb 1, 2019 at 12:56 AM
Tank you @LynnG This got me motivated to do a 2nd page of my cruise. So I matched my kits to page 1. This is page 2 and my challenge entry.
Whoopeeeeeee I made it! 31 pages, a month long scrapping and I'm so happy I made it to the finish line *wipes sweat from forehead*. This was the last page I had to do, everything else was already done. Now to sit back, relax, be proud of myself and enjoy the creations everyone made!
For January 2019 MOC Day 30: Trip Journaling Journaling: We stopped over in LA on our way to Europe, we had a few activities planned but the most important was our three day pass to Disneyland. It was so much fun, we went on every ride we could and some more than once.Of course we had to meet Mickey, that involved queuing for what seemed like hours with lots of people a lot shorter and younger than us. Eventually we made it to the head of the queue and got our photo taken.. It was so much fun there, I would love to return one day. This was NOT the page I was planning on making for the challenge. All the pages I had started I ended up using for different challenges! LOL! I still may do something different, but I've three more pages to complete first! Thanks for the fun challenge, Lynn! Here's the journaling in case you can't read it: We left the marketplace and were taking a stroll down along Lake Chapala when we came upon a group of men preparing to do the Danza de los Voladores, or the "Dance of the Flyers". They had just started climbing to the top of the 30-meter pole where they would begin their aerial "dance". John & I had seen this before at the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival in Washington, DC, so it was very exciting to be seeing this again. The participants then launch themselves tied with ropes to descend to the ground, all while one or more of them are playing instruments. The exact origin of this ritual/dance is unknown, but it is thought to have to have been created to ask the gods to end a severe drought. It was very fun to watch, and we were happy that we happened upon it when we did.
