January 31: Traveler's Notebook + Connections

I’m really confused too.

 

Great challenge - this story has been on my heart for a long time... never took the time to journal it. It's about how I grew up listening to a Big Band radio show every New Year's Eve with my grandpa. It was many years later, when I met my now husband to find out that radio show was his dad's... how cool to think that when I was like 8 years old, I could have heard the voice of my future husband over the radio waves.

 

some a loosely connected, A recipe for cake or soup still in use by different generations, a set of photos shared between two families,a gardens progress, a memory cherished and remembered by a meaningful symbol to the person. Or the more literal ones featuring buildings a decade apart, or children all grown up.

I chose the "Someone who came back into your life" and the story of the guy who used to sit behind me in college (who I thought was cute!) moved away after our first year and then we reconnected over Facebook... We married in 2010 and had a son in 2013

Not sure where the month went. What an amazing ending. Totally new concept for me, loved this whole idea. Look forward to doing more of these Travel Journals. Thanks all for a great month!

My first TN page. This was a fun month. With the combination of bad health, lots of work and a small number of TLP kits I made it through. I am super pleased with all of my pages. Thank you all so much for a great array of challenges.

 

DONE! Thanks for this fun challenge! At first, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this, but I was telling my daughter about it and it hit me to do a page about Raystown Lake where I spent my Summers and then took my daughter. I would love to do a paper journal like this!

I think this fits with the challenge! I wrote about how the smell of The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter takes me back to when I lived in Taiwan.

 

I never did a traveler's notebook LO, it was fun!
I wanted to use an object as connection. I have a box with mementos and a special cookies bag with those little notes I used to passed with my friends at school, birthday and christmas cards from friends and family and some heirlooms. Things I didn't rememeber I have, among those things there was a letter that connected me with someone I never met.
